HTC HD2 Inbound to US Carriers Q1 2010.

According to Slashgear (http://www.slashgear.com/htc-hd2-gets-official-hands-on-video-0659275/) looks like the HTC HD2 AKA the Leo will grace the US after all. The HD2 will be sporting Windows Mobile 6.5 (http://www.slashgear.com/windows-mobile-6-5-review-0559021/) on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon (http://www.slashgear.com/tags/snapdragon) processor, with a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen (http://www.slashgear.com/htc-hd2-gets-official-hands-on-video-0659275/) and 5-megapixel autofocus camera; its also the first Windows Phone to support both multi-touch and HTC Sense (http://www.slashgear.com/tags/htc-sense).
Perhaps best of all, HTC CEO Peter Chou has confirmed that HTC will be offering a US 3G version of the HD2 in Q1 2010.
The HD2 has managed to pack in a display half an inch bigger than that of the Touch HD (http://www.slashgear.com/htc-touch-hd-slashgear-review-part-1-0521514/) but with only a minimal increase in size it measures 120.5 x 67 x 11 mm and weighs 157g with the 1,230mAh battery thanks to the dramatically thin bezel. The HD2 offers HSPA/WCDMA (900/2100) and quadband GSM, WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. It also had a 3.5mm headphones socket and microUSB port, accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. Runtime estimates from the standard 1,230mAh battery are up to 320 minutes WCDMA talktime or 390 hours standby; alternatively you can watch up to 8hrs of video or listen to up to 12hrs of music.
Speculation from WMExperts (http://www.wmexperts.com/htc-hd2-coming-us-after-all)claims that Verizon can be ruled out since the launch of the HTC Imagio (http://wmexperts.com/tags/imagio) and has also ruled out AT&T because of the Pure (http://wmexperts.com/tags/pure). For now all we can do is sit back and wait.

I've been in love with this phone for months. I've honestly never wanted a phone this bad in my life. I dunno what to do if this doesn't come to Sprint. Do I dare give up my SERO plan?? I dunno if I can justify paying $100 a month from $30 for this phone.

Thanks Weesje. That was the first link I have posted. I knew it had to be coded but thought it was automatic when I hit the insert link button. Been trying to search to see how to code links but cant find it. I know you said remove the url but I still don't quite get it. If there is a how to you can point me to that would be much appreciated

This has been confirmed as the HTC HD2
I would just like to say the I think WMExperts are full of it.
NO WAY Verizon will pass this thing up, just because of the IMAGIO.
I would also look for this thing to rock (WM) 7 being it was held over till Q1:ghost:

It is called the HD2 and there is proof in the rom leaks. The device info xml found in the 1.24 says HD2, this rom was leaked about a month ago too.
So basically im going to switch to what ever carrier will get this! please be verizon...
BTW windows mobile 7 wont be released during the first quarter. We will most likely see the begining leaks of it, but most of our phones right now will have a hard time supporting it. And im still not sure if we can even run them on the current phones. WM7 will most likely be released second half of next year.

I was looking at this last night and I'm pretty excited about it. The capacitive screen is one of the key factors. Something we/us WM groups have been waiting for... for a while. The no keyboard has me thinking however... is it really all that or would I be just as excited with the TP2. I'm going to be keying in hard on both of these and have some side by side comparisons ;) Video of this side by side w/TP2 would be nice, as always.

i feel that verizon will prolly get this but delayed a little bit from the toher providers... you got to remember they will be getting the pre, hero, and some other devices on top of the tp2 and the imagio recently..... they also have the omnia 2 coming out, did the blackberry tour, the ozone, and more. they have been hella busy.

I can't imagine anything else I would want in a phone. I just hope it don't cost a billion dollars.

Guess I better start saving my pennies now and pay for it with cash. If my wife catches me paying that much for a phone she will hang me by my balls.

FCC regulations state that you must be 18 or over to handle and operate the machinery.

Hmmm well what kind of person do you know???? cuz I'll go looking for another person that works at the same place. I used to be a 3rd party dealer through radio shack but we couldn't do anything like that. Do you have to know somebody that works corporate, at HTC, the white house? Let me know bro lol.
