Quentin over @ XDA has fixed the lack of a menu in Midomi and repackaged a CAB with the menu fix, data reg tweak and ability to install to memory card all included!!!! I am hoping people will post devices they get it working on so I can relay it on!!!

Hi, this is the famous Samsung Midomi music identification application for the Windows Mobile devices! You're probably wondering why I've re?!? posted this. Then again, those of you who know me know I don't just repackage and repost things. And you're right, I didn't.

I loved the one I found posted by Ikkari (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1648196) but it had two problems. The first was the fact that the default internet connection was via WAP, for which Ikkari posted a registry solution to and shiranmotha (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=854208) repackaged and posted. So credit to both of these people for providing the packages they did.

Unfortunately that left one annoying (and ultimately grating) issue for someone like myself. The menu didn't work. In fact if you accidentally clicked it, the whole program froze. Well, not anymore. As a sidenote, I also made this install under program files (either on the device or the storage card as you so choose) because I personally don't think something like this belongs in the \Windows directory http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif And even though the menu is fully functional and you can choose ANY connection you desire I did default it to use the device's Internet (GSM/CDMA) connection.

P.S. Please be aware that at the time of this posting this has only been tested on an HTC Rhodium based device (WVGA). It likely works on many others, if you find it works on yours please be kind enough to mention it so others will know.

wow thanks for the fix on the app. i was really hoping someone would be able to fix--- it works great im running it on touch pro with wm 6.5

Very clean. Excellent job with the configuring of menus. Was a great program in the beginning, except for the menus. Now we have a great program that works fully :)

Works on stock Treo Pro. Top part of menu is cut off and some of the words are cut off but its nothing that's a real big deal. Thanks! :D

yup thats due to the orientation being differenrt and square on the treo pro.... and you know that there is an unlocker and custom roms starting to come out for it right?

We appreciate the feedback. The initial post explained they completed on WVGA and I have a TP (VGA) and works just perfect. So, good possibility that QVGA/square screens have a little cut off. Anyone with Touch (QVGA) that's utilizing it everyday that can give us their results. Good luck.

Yeah I kinda figured as much. Custom roms you say? For the treo pro? Looks like I know what I'll be doing when I get outta work today, thanks for the heads up :D

OH SWEET!! I had a Music ID cab from way back which I lost when my SD Card got trashed. Maybe it was called shazzam Music ID? I cant remember but you heard a song in the car and the APP would ID it. But this one looks even better. You can actually sing songs and it will ID them!! my GF will love this.

I couldnt find the other Music ID app anywhere. I did a search for MusicID but no luck. If this one works though I guess I wont need it. thanks A Million Dash

OKay one small down side with this APP. After you search for a new song, The last one you searched for is gone. The other MusicID app i had would list the names Band and Song, and have album art next to it. I had a whole list of stuff I heard on the radio I wanted to DL off eMule.

Does anyone know where I can find a Music ID app like that. I remember the Main screen was White with a Boom Box on it. I cant remember if there was more to the name then just MusicID. I did a search in the fourm for MusicID but cant seem to find it
