Hi:
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question, but here goes. I seem to be having a problem with my Network Management. I am able to access the net for various apps like GPS, etc., but don't seem to have my WiFi set up properly. Often I am asked for a user name and password before I am able to connect. I'm not talking about trying to access password protected WiFi spots, it happens at free locations as well. When I go to my "Settings" in the Comm mgr, I don't know if I should use the "My ISP", "data" or "My Work Network." Similarly, under the "private network" drop down list do I use "My ISP", "data" or "My Work Network?"
When I go to "edit" the # is #777, the name for the connection is "Data" but the "cellular line" is greyed out under the modem list.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PS I mistakenly posted this question in the "homePC" thread after doing a search and finding the thread there

if the cellular part is grayed out then what you have to do is delete that whole modem section and start over again

Make sure you input "Phone As Modem" then #777 and make sure you check on cellular line.then leave username and password field blank (if your provider is sprint) and save you should be good.Make sure you under "MY ISP"

lol...yea bro i had to learn the hard way when i was messing around with these roms..so instead of reverting back to stock and redoing the roms this is the best shortcut...and i dint even need that provisioning cab file.:computer:

Thanks, I'm on Star 2.0 ROM and I noticed that the "name" for the connection was "Data" but Sprint ppl would have me change this to "Sprint." Should it be Sprint or Data?
I do have the #777 as the cellular line, but I'm not sure I can find where the "use phone as modem is.
