View Full Version : delete unwanted program files

I installed a game cab on htc touch pro and the phone gave me an additional game folder. so i unistalled the game and the folder was still there, i tried looking for the folder under active sync to delete it but there was no extra game folder to delete. so again i installed and unistalled the game and got another folder. so i have 3 game folders two with the one game. i install other games and they go to the original folder. how can i get rid of these additional game folders without hard resetting my phone?

theres a few things u could do. u could manually delete those files. u could do an advanced clean with sktools. u could edit the registry to remove all traces....

why not just click and hold and than delete the folders? or you can do sktools like terry stated above or even pocket mechanic if im not mistaking has a cleaning feature.... but i would recommend sktools.

ok sktools did work but if i try installing that one game again its creating a second game folder just for that game no other game is going in it. why do you think is the cause of this?

its just the way that the cab file is made.... some are made to go in the stock games folder per say and others are read/comiled as an application which would mean that it gets its own little icon and folder..... its all on hgow the developer cabbed the program....

well it going into a folder called Games (1) not the name of the game. So there is nothing i can do about?, can i move the game into the original games folder?

what game are you trying to install and also are you installing to your main memory or storage card because i have never heard of this issue or that happening before ever....
