Microsoft Marketplace to Support Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1, 6.5

Previously, we had known that Marketplace for Mobile, Microsoft's applications storefront, would support Windows Mobile devices running 6.1 and 6.5, but now the firm is adding support for Windows Mobile 6.0. While the news is welcomed for 6.0 users, certain software may require a newer core OS and may be add confusion to newer users who may not know what OS their device runs; after all, Microsoft only advertises Windows Phone as being powered by Windows Mobile, unlike desktop OSes where you say your computer runs Vista--a more specific OS version of Windows.

very interesting i wonder if they are just going to do a rom update or something to add them to the last official just or what since 6.5 is the only one with the app installed.

hmmmm i dunno know about this, just another reason to complicate themselves with app incompatibility other than the fact that there are so many WM devices, shapes, Keyboards, g-sensor, screen resolution etc. its gonna be hell to easily pick out apps that work for you...

lets wait and see...
