Yeah Groove is a nice rom , but I just flashed this bad boy lol so am excited to see what it can do Dash has been telling me great things so far about it!!!

ok, i have just been running this version of the rom for over a day and here is my review.... i am on the verizon radio and of course the sprint touch pro.

the battery life is by far the best of any rom that i have used.... this is a very common thing said throughout all of nfsfans roms for the mogul and the vogue of course before the pro. i talked on the phone for a little over an hour between 4 calls, sent and received over 100 texts today, received around 50 emails, and did some normal tinkerig..... after being off the charger for 16 hours it finally went down to 10% battery life whichis flipping silly! the rom is smooth as butter and havent encountered a glitch on it.... the main gripe i had was the 3 across start menu but used the cab to give me 4 across so there is less scrolling involved. this rom is quick, responsive, and dare i say it the best i have used and i have recently used groove, star, juicy, caulkin, demolition, and so on all inthe past week. i will be staying on this rom for a while and updated through nfsfan until something catches my eye like the new star or something... i cant give this rom enough props and def recommend this to anyone that has a pro.... all you have to do is install the rom, let the customizations run and than install your carrier cab attached in the first post and your good to go..... trust me his work on this rom is like the vogue which as you can see by the thread here and at xda is a great rom that is very stable!!! i would def give this a shot wcked i know you will love it better than that damn mighty rom :) hope this helps some with their decisions.

yea i already gave it a shot on this i notice a couple of thing..one guy had the issue and he posted it on xda like you mentioned the scrolling effect the image got distorted and to cure that i had to reset my phone.I dont think i'll be doing that all the time.Plus i can't get into the config of my phone you know that ## blah blah i can't get in there at all.I later found out that the tuchi dialer i think i spelled it wrong, but anyways it has something to do with that because i tried it on the mighty rom and it was doing that too .It's a sweet dialer and i wish the guys can fix that.But overall the rom performance is outstanding smooth and quick. i like the design layout and all.But because of that issue i was having i reverted back to mighty to i find something that blows me away...lol.....:airplane:

Can anyone find a good working updated quickgps cause every version of quickgps that i've tried just won't work. I even tried the one that worked before made by |||bored||| . The provisioning cab did enable gps, but it just takes forever without quickgps.

that is correct, the 3d-2 still causes too much bugs in my opinion..... it gets better than weorse than better than worse.

Yes use whatever carrier cab you have for this rom that is if he made it for your provider....

i must agree with dash, this rom is blazing fast, my battery life will be tested tommorrow..only thing is it did freeze after i ended a phone call, it wouldnt hang up so i had to soft reset but other than that i luv it...very nice, ill be running for a little bit.....

All Roms should bow down to this Rom, finally... good battery life!!! The whole setup is tight, completely different and thats what the people want, ...has yet to freeze, even when i PAM... phone doesnt get hot as hell as on other ROMs. I am a FAN of NFSFAN.

yea i know about it.But i was referring when you ##123456# that' an example. to get into the config, it didn't let me in there..The only one that worked was 778 but i wanted to get into other settings and it wasn't allowing me to get in.I later found out it has something to do with that new dialer.It did it to me on another rom.

yup dialers do that and in the settings on the om you can disable the dialer so you can get into the ##codes

This rom is by far the best out there. I have one minor issue. When I set the alarm it doesn't work. I set a certain tone for it and it doesnt play. Instead some chiming thing happens later on saying that I had an event scheduled. It didnt even go off at the set time. Can anyone help?

are you sure you dont have set with the am and pm mixed up?

yes i'm sure. I had it set for 1030 am and at 1100 or so i get the chime sayin i have a scheduled event and not the alarm.

download the first cab, and intall, then go to your messaging app that comes on the phone, hit menu/mms option, select sprint as your user, and set size limit to max, oh wait, you dont have sprint, hahaha, my bad. well, at least some people will benefit from this...... sorry.

Yeah you will will need the Diamond Config tool if the the theme is not in cab form,

Flashed this yesterday and Dash, you weren't kidding about the batt life....thus far. Gonna give it a couple o' days and report back. But so far so good, kinda miss tf3d2 tho.

On another note, has anybody had issues trying to get the nuepowerdriver / nuebattery to display % increments without fudging up the wm6.5 start menu??? HR a couple of times with the same prob....and yes i installed the sdcerts prior to installing taskbar icons. Or should I get a diff set of taskbar icons......???

no the only phones that have 3d-2 are the pro2 and diamond2 among the batch...... only on the newer devices that came out after the pro and diamond.

thanks for the feedback for all to see and heres mine (be sure to hit the installed button in first post since i know more than 13 have installed and use this)

so far so good, the only thing that i have noticed bug wise is when setting up touchflo3d2. the programs tab when scrolling to fast lagged a little bit sometimes for a second or two. this only happened when in touchflo though and have tried to no avail to reproduce the problem... great rom with more speed than his last version and the sensativity to register is just amazing. this is a must use rom in my opinion and truthfully you wont be sorry that you gave this a whirl!! so go for it!

I upgrade the radio to 1.07.06f, signal strength is very good.being on the phone is nice and clear in my part of town.The previous radio it was so choppy.

Do you have any ev to 1x switching with the us cellular while using the internet at all?

With the 1.11 sprint one it tends to switch quite a bit and stay stuck in 1x on me and so far the telus and verizon ones are the best two i've tried, I just wanna know how you personally get along with the us cellular one is all.

and yes, I did change the bottom icons in touchflo, they are from xda, they didn't come with that theme, and neither did the font........I change it around, I'm looking at some more icon cab files to maybe change it, I can't seem to find a icon pack that has all 13 icons tho, this one is still lacking the last two (profile & communications), 13 tabs right?

yes all roms for the touch pro are going to run mobile shell without troubles.. hell all roms period will run it without troubles on a ppc.

How did you change your font? I read and tried a few different ways, but none were really successful.

I found a HUGE list of fonts to choose from over at XDA, and you have to install the fix cab for the weather temp to work properly. Here's the link..........it also has a huge selection of themes, wallpapers, splash screens, etc...........

haha, thats how I used to be and then I became a flash-whore and now I can install all of my "essentials" that used to take hours to install in about 15 minutes...it seems like i can't go longer than about three days before I flash even if it is between the same 3 roms

yes I totally agree, myself personally am addicted to the tf3d (whether it's regular or rodium)....I've tried the mobile shell, and personally it was not "finger friendly" enough for my tastes, titanium....just can't get used to that interface myself, don't like the up and down scroll and having to actually "enter" the tabs to "see" anything.....like contacts, pics, weather is small.....stuff like that........that's just my opinion.........good luck in finding your "custom tweak" that suits you and your tastes, that's the beauty of smartphones right? LOL

i like the rhodium on this rom, very smooth im working on installing the black hd theme, just wish the weather had radar but i am still very happy about this rom. I also tend to follow dash on his roms cause he gives a good review..

Not sure what, but something I did caused the start menu to not redraw properly, so it would have the initial, then I'd click settings and it would just appear on top of the previous, making it impossible to read. Not sure which item did it. Gonna have to be more careful for round two.

Always do that. No, it was one of the apps or tweaks (or maybe a combination). I had it going smooth, with mobile shell running and a few other items. I think the nuepower might have been the culprit, or that in combination with something. Was one of the last things I added.

Okey Dokey, been rudding this for a couple and here is what i get......Ahem......Remove from charger around 6:30 am, making about 2-3 hrs worth of phone calls, texting like crazy throughout the day (easily ~150-200), have email set to sync every 30 min, dl a couple Megs worth of musak, play NFS-UC (need for speed under cover about 15-20 min), listen to music (about 30 min), surf (20-30min) and by 7pm i am at roughly 32-33%. WTF!!!!!!!! This rom had def set a bar, i really don't see myself changing for a while....*sigh* This has definitely gotten me spoiled with the goodies, especially the batt life. Okey Dokey, been rudding this for a couple and here is what i get......Ahem......Remove from charger around 6:30 am, making about 2-3 hrs worth of phone calls, texting like crazy throughout the day (easily ~150-200), have email set to sync every 30 min, dl a couple Megs worth of musak, play NFS-UC (need for speed under cover about 15-20 min), listen to music (about 30 min), surf (20-30min) and by 7pm i am at roughly 32-33%. WTF!!!!!!!! This rom had def set a bar, i really don't see myself changing for a while....*sigh* This has definitely gotten me spoiled with the goodies, especially the batt life. the sprint provisioning cab is just to get the gps to work if you are on sprint...other than that you don't need any carrier specific cabs for anything else

So for the people getting insane battery life, did you use any of the battery tweaks or just what was in the rom? Reason I ask is I had the Wckediden tweak cab in my Sashimi auto folder, so it installed by default. Might take it off if everyone's getting the great life on the base install.

I'm still doing pretty darn good in the first day. Of charger about 9 this morning, few calls (maybe 5 or 10 minutes), couple games of Sudoku, 3 email accounts checking every 60, and a ton of time in browser and rss hub, and I'm still about about 50% 11:30 tonight.

Runs Mobile Shell nice and snappy like, apps launch faster than anything I've seen to date, even before I had remembered to change my preference to close instead of minimize. At one point had active sync, conn mgr, opera, rss hub, and a couple other apps all running, and never even noticed it.

Side question. Anyone gotten SprintTV to work on it, and if so what'd you use? I tried caulkin's fix cab, but it seems to fail on install.

for picture mail use arcsoft. i'm thinking that each carrier has their own versions. i use sprint. it's 1000 times better than the crappy picture mail that comes stock.

for the picture mail you will have to install your carriers (like sprint alltel) arcsoftmms.cab to get that working. the freezing could still be tf3d-2, are you running that interface? also many roms have this so still can be a bug with wm 6.5 on top of that...... and for the hard reset on your device you have to press and hold power, vol down, center button (be sure you arent touching the d-pad with your finger) than soft reset..... i know its a ***** to do and you need three hands until you get your technique :) good luck

So i went back to 105 because i like switching between TouchFLo and 6.5 and TF2 is just to buggy for me. I really like 105 but i noticed that after a couple of day now, my phone skips ringing for calls and texts. But it only happens every 2 or 3 times. If i soft reset it works for aa bit but later in the day it goes back. It only does this in 6.5 not in TF.
Did anyone else have this problem with 105 or having this problem or is it just me? Besides that everything is still freekin great!

i thought i would also post a screenie of Pandora working perfectly on NFSFAN's rom (although i'm still running 105). so far his roms are the only 6.5 roms that i've found that will run it with no problems. no tweaking to get it to play the whole songs. nothing. it just works.

that's a particular layout i got from ppcgeeks. if you notice, the icons are large and finger friendly as to where within the normal WP, they're not at all.

After a few days, I have to admit, this is one of, if not the most impressive roms I've tried on the TP. Snappy as anything (keyboard lag is the only thing I see and that's been in every rom I've tried), insane battery life, and very stable. With every other rom I've used S2U2 has caused a lockup while charging overnight about every 2 days or so if I don't reboot. Haven't rebooted since getting everything installed, and not a single lock.

Guess I'll put 107 on tomorrow and give it a run. Guess I need to learn if there's an easier way to get mobile shell set up. I can save the layout, but that doesn't add the wallpaper, and the contacts I have on one of the lifestyle tabs don't restore quite right.

Actually, on that note, is there a way in Sashimi or like to create an update file for preferences (sounds and notifications, power settings, all that jazz)? I know I can provision the email stuff, got all that set up, but would love to do the rest automatically as well.

well, im not sure what you did, but you need to install the arcsoft cab, just search for it, we have it here, after you install that, you should be all good... this rom does not include arcsoft,...

i say that i will be staying on the newest telus radio since it is doing wonders for me even in my basement where i hardly ever had signal period.... battery life is very steady on it also so i cant complain..... for those michiganders def use the telus radio : )

Ok after testing the new rom for a few minutes there are a few notable differences.

1) Facebook integration seems to be completely gone from the TF3D2 interface. So i guess by saying he solved the problem he actually removed it completely.

2) You are going to have to manually turn off the Accept all incoming beams again from the connections tab to save on battery life once more.

3) If you are a person that notices small things like I do then you will notice when in landscape mode that there was a line going down the right side of the screen. Well that issue was fixed as well.

If anyone does happen to see facebook somewhere and i just overlooked it please correct me if im wrong.

Always do that. No, it was one of the apps or tweaks (or maybe a combination). I had it going smooth, with mobile shell running and a few other items. I think the nuepower might have been the culprit, or that in combination with something. Was one of the last things I added.

not sure if this got answered already or not, but I ran into the same thing and hard reset also, then it happened again, but this time I went into start menu-- settings-- then today settings(try and remember where it is on the screen when this happens because as long as you hit the right location it will still open that menu) and I switched from my rock and republic theme to another one. When I went out to main today screen I went back in to start menu and all was fine again, I even switched back to rock and republic. Must be a small glitch somewhere but thats my quick fix, NO HARD RESET involved!!!!

BTW I did find out where the facebook integration was in 107, but it is a bit lacking per say.

Go to your contacts tab in TF3D2 and go to all people. When you see the list of all your contacts you will notice 4 avatar icons at the bottom and one of them have a small clock next to it. Under that tab you can login to Facebook. It doesn't have alot of options, but there is still Some small amount of integration with Facebook.

Ok after testing the new rom for a few minutes there are a few notable differences.

1) Facebook integration seems to be completely gone from the TF3D2 interface. So i guess by saying he solved the problem he actually removed it completely.

2) You are going to have to manually turn off the Accept all incoming beams again from the connections tab to save on battery life once more.

3) If you are a person that notices small things like I do then you will notice when in landscape mode that there was a line going down the right side of the screen. Well that issue was fixed as well.

If anyone does happen to see facebook somewhere and i just overlooked it please correct me if im wrong.

his new rom is really slick BTW, fast as hell and smooth. I just wish it has the HTC menus cooked in rather than the crappy 6.5 ones (if anyone knows how to get them to work via cab install or tweak let me know)

-i found that Touchflo3d-2 a lot better integrated in Juicy8 cuz some landscape screens are cut off here but not with Juicy8, and some settings dont have the HTC skin like the wifi connection screen, it links to the standard WM wifi settings rather than the HTC version

-also Gmail wont work properly if created using Touchflo. I could not sync till i deleted the account and re-did it using the standard WM Messaging

-on a brighter note, this is the only rom i have tried that i installed Call Of Duty 2 and NeedForSpeed Undercover G-SEN that worked flawlessly without errors so im not dumping this rom yet

all in all, its a kick ass rom. few bugs/few things i would like implemented but good enough to stick around with till future releases

that would be great. the problem in the way i set it up (loading second today, tfdetatcher, tfdetcher WM 6.5 +TF3D2) is that if the setup doesn't work properly, the only way i've found to fix it is to hard reset. which sucks.

that being said. supposedly, Tech1 got it working with mortscript instead but it never worked for me.

i know exactly what you mean. you have NO idea how many roms i flashed to find one to play NeedForSpeed Undercover G-SEN and Pandora. it was just simply crazy.

so. if anyone out there knows how to setup my "fast switching" using mortscript, i think it may solve my problem where i could be able to use the newest roms with the preloader. if not, i will be on 105 for quite some time....

i think these are known problems with tf3d2. i know that when installing manually using XBmod's stuff, there is a fix for the contact card and i know i have the fix for dialing other numbers once assigned. it's called gjakovic People Tab Fix.

ugh.....

If you're using the default gmail imap settings, I'd try making a provisioning xml with makisu to use the pop settings instead. I've had much better success using that.

that's odd. they have posted problems with their lastest version. perhaps it's hardware related. there was a lot of people having the exact same problem.

i have the latest...the install goes well.But i did have an issue when adding an account..i get errors.but i think it has something to do with the company's(seven) server...after 5 or 6 attempts it works well after that.

well well well what can i say, so far so good like expected... didnt fully get to test the battery but will today.. (seemed good throughout the night when i was using it for texts and little other things. the fluidity and speed are very nice and seem to have been upgraded fir sure.... the one thing that popped out at me right away was that it seemed as if the screen took less pressure to register the touch which is alwasy a plus..... havent ran into any isuues yet thus far and will report more not that i got a full day to test without people being sleeping already by the time i flash hahaha ill keep you pdated junkies

Not that I've noticed. Looks normal to me so far.

Another question though. Anyone having odd behavior with word completion or the like? I believe it was happening both before and after I added the classic work completion tweak, but I'll see things like the cursor jump back a couple spaces after a period (really messes up entering URLs in Opera), and it behaves strangely with spaces (like it's trying to look up something for a second, then moves on). May pull the class work completion back out to verify it was happening before as well.

Edit: I just tested a couple things and it seems specific to Opera. When I enter a space in a text box (like google for example), there's an underscore for a moment, like it's trying to do a callback to the server or something. However, any keys pressed while that's happening are ignored, so if I'm typing fast, half of the word following a space is likely to be missed.

So i had to revert my using the default mail client..Hey mike you said that you was having issue with gmail on you phone with this rom..so far it working well.

i was having the occasional freeze when i came to that conclusion with seven.It only occurred when it was doing the automatic send and receive plus i couldn't open it. to view email..This is on the touchflo interface dash i know you use that default one.
