na in our neighborhood all we have is comcast cable.So when Verizon came out with the fios, we had receive a flyer that a cable contractor in the future will install an outside line for Verizon fios so if we are interested then we can go to them. for service instead of using comcast. a competition thing going on among the cable carriers.My question was how is the service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAMN!!! You will love their service! I have them as a provider. I just got it like a year ago or last summer when they were putting up the lines.

You won't regret the switch of providers ... main reason why I got FIOS was because of the online gaming (COD 4) ... and man it's off the charts ....

ok.... i can get fios now and im looking at the 25/15.... i need to know if anyone has this speed and if they have ever used it for torrents.... trying to get any idea if i should stay with comcast.


need to know the max speed you ever downloaded and uploaded with utorrent or whatever you use for torrents.

i get like 22/8 with comcast and only pay 33.00 a month

im waiting for it by me. when it dropps im gone.......Right now i have road runner turbo. fastest i can get. its not bad 20meg down 10 up. but fios blows it away.

hmmm Fios or Comcast.... w/o a doubt Fios. Comcast is copper and Fios is Fiber Optic. The capabilities are vast compared to the limitations of cable. I don't know what programs pricing, and so forth are in your area, but technology wise... Fios is the way to go. I have AT&T Uverse, which is IPTV and has so many capabilities that cable can't even offer. Good luck on the choice, but I know what I do. WWFD, lol j/k
