Well here is my latest and greatest TF3D theme fully CFC compressed speedy as hell after 1st load. Its my take on a windows 7 mobile theme took me almost a month to skin everything. This theme is using showaco's bbtheme layout as a base but it has been tweaked and re-skined by me. Its running 14 tabs with the HD people tab/Music tab/and Albums tab. also full TF [12aon] landscape. Included in the .zip is a CDMA dialer [conflippers S2A] fully skinned to match, as well as a modified version of [Towens] start menu cab with start/wait/and ev icons reskined by me to match. Its a full on transformation. These files totally overwrite your existing TF3D configuration so if your in love with your set up of TF don't apply this theme-but it is uninstallable after uninstall it will revert back to your previous setup



Install Instructions



EDIT: DO THIS STEP ONLY IF YOU ARE RUNNING A STOCK SPRINT ROM.

unzip the .zip file SPRINT Flip clock fix

move the manila files from inside the folder to your device [excluding the folder called back up... this is a backup of the stock sprint files for you to revert back to later if you want to change back to stock]

unload TF3D from your today screen settings start/settings/today/items/ uncheck Touchflow3D

From your device using totalcomander or whatever. move the manila files to your windows folder and overwrite when prompted.

reset your device and restart TF3D

see if its working with the new clock [it should be] test everything landscape ect....

if all is well load my theme.cab

reset.... and your good to go. .

EVERYONE ELSE JUST DO THESE STEPS

1.Disable TF3d from today settings [VERY IMPORTANT]
2.Install TF7X-by-PROBEX.cab
install takes a long time like 6 min or so...
reset when prompted.
3.[CDMA-only-dial-skin] Install S2A-TF3d.cab
reset when prompted
4.Install PROBEX-blue-VGA.cab
reset.

Now you should be totally redesigned

The wallpapers were installed to your "my documents" folder goto settings tab wallpaper aim "my documents" and choose the one you want..Some roms don't take the first time choose use default then re enter settings tab/wallpaper/mydocuments and select one of the 3 I included.



Recomended Alternate mods: to change the green menu highlights to grey

Below registry changes will allow you to change the highlight color in the start menu and other windows from green to grey. Assumes you are running the HTC Black theme.

HKCU/software/microsoft/today/HTC Black.tsk
change "Color_Highlight" value to 77 77 77 00

HKLM/software/microsoft/color
change "33" and "34" values to 77 77 77 00
change "BaseHue" value to 160

HKLM/Software/HTC/EnlargeMenu/
ManilaCustomHLUp and ManilaCustomHLDown, change both to 00ababab hex value, that should change enlarge start menu to grey

MENU COLOR MOD ABOVE NOW AVAILABLE VIA CAB INSTALL BELOW

Uninstall Instructions

SK tools or installed programs- uninstall all PROBEX cabs & softreset

UPDATE: loaded up the TL skin and the S2U2 skin for this theme.


S2U2 install instructions Load cab to your phone it assumes you have S2U2 installed in program files S2U2 after you install goto your s2u2 settings and choose clockD. I skinned the lock thingy as well this is ready for the latest version of S2U2.

Tlock install instructions unzip on your computer or ppc and move the files to your TL install directory. overwrite when prompted.

FINAL-UPDATE: Here is a new version TF7X-White [recommended] with all white fonts on all tabs as well the dial skin now has white fonts in contacts ect.. and 1 new wallpaper & the bellUI.tsk and the [recommended] godson font cab to go along with it.

If you already have installed TF7X and want the new version then just disable TF3D uninstall the TF7X and TF7X dialer then install the new version of the TF7X-white theme and dialer then reinstall the VGA blue cab after installing those

Thanks man :o) mmm did you reboot after installing the taskbar and did you install it last? Its has to be the last thing you install or it gets overwrote by the one on the phone skin. just uninstall and reinstall that cab and it should take off.

are you running mighty's rom cause i think his start icon might have a different filename...i know there are two types, the one that is on mighty's rom and ones like the one that kaos made

A custom Start text thingy? Yes that would probably have a effect on it as that is contained in the shell.res.192 that my start icon and wait cursors is attempting to replace, go into your windows folder and rename your "shell.res.192.dll" to "shell.res.192.old.dll" then reinstall my blue vga cab this should deff work but you will lose the custom start text it will just say "start" :o)

mightys file name is shellres.192.0409.mui i believe...I had to rename my custom to that for some to get it to work....do that reset and all should work...he is using a sys structure off the diamond...that is why its that name......

No it will uninstall just uninstall the .cabs and softreset it reverts back to your roms stock configuration [whatever it may be] the taskbar can be troublesome to uninstall but the entire theme is gone on uninstall. just remeber to deactivate TF from today screen first.

the START ICON and 'WAIT CURSOR' are stored in the SHELLRES.192.DLL.0409.MUI. the word 'START' is in the SHELLRES.DLL.0409.MUI so i realy dont think its having an effect i could be wrong but in probex icon/cusor u can check to see what the file name is so either way it can be reNamed.

I Installed the Cab files in the correct order, but my background image on each of the 14 tabs is just black. I have the flashy windows 7 background image when the phone first starts, but thats about it. I even selected background as one of the images in the system tab, but it didn't take... any ideas?? It also seems kinda sluggish now as well

Just rename it with total commander by clicking it once then wait 1 sec and click again in the letters of the name. It will let you rename it. I also think there is a cab you need to dowload in order to be able to change the start icon, pretty sure thats what nine sicks said.

Hey I opened the TF3D icon in settings, and there is nothing in there to modify a background image. The only place in the phone that I can see where you can modify one is in the "today" icon, and there is a option to browse for an image; which is what I originally tried... still puzzled. This theme pack is really cool looking and it would be awesome if I could get it to work..

You should not need to add the background for all tabs cab as its already included in my theme. If it does not take right away and you have a black screen with a little white box in the corner just goto the settings tab click wallpaper the chose default [this should turn it black and it removed the white box] then click on the wallpaper selector again and choose no then select your my documents folder from the down arrow beside the my pictures text then select one of the 3 I installed in your my documents folder or try one of your own.

easy...... just download the file, use file explore, disable tf3d, run the cab. files. also read the "read me" file that comes with the download.

lol, holy shit, i totally missed that. i guess i forget that there are still moguls out there....... but yeah Drose, you cant use this on the mogul. you can search for tf2d themes thou. just write tf2d themes in the search bar and you will find what you crave for.

no one you can edit.....as soon as i uninstall this theme...the tab works....reinstall nothing....like i said tried on a fresh hard reset as well...same results..

its the cab to switch txt color probex...i just checked one by one on install...sucks i like the theme...but black text is useless for me....oh well back to tf3d config and a different theme..... :(

works fine for me and are you following the steps in the first post and installing in the correct order and also are you making sure that you are disabling touchflo 3d from start/settings/personal/today/items?

its all cab files no theme tool needed.... judt install the 3 cabs in the rar folder in the order they are in and make sure before you install all 3 that you disable touchflo

It must be stored on the main memory as it contains all of the TF3D files.

what image and screenshot are you talking? if your talking the bootup image than just grab it from the windows folder. (it would be named welcomehead96

Did you chose to 'overwrite' the files in the windows folder after dropping the new files in there? and did you soft reset?

I dunno for sure about the KK rom Ive been on Juicys4.7 rom for a while now... and prolly still for a while longer. I'm very happy with it. Was tempted to try his new one but looks like he is still sorting some bugs out of it.

what cab? If you have a cab for the start menu icon and wait cursor you want, then you shouldnt need to do any overwriting...

It'll probably be best if you post these question in the thread where u got the icons and cursors, for better support, and soo we wont continue crapping probex's thread...

Im not crappin on it by any means. There was a cab that was posted here before called 'PROBEX-blue-vga' when I installed that, it change all my icons at the top except for the start and wait icons. hey bruh, that cab. wiil change the start and wait cursor. it was talked about in this thread before. if you ( aj48198) look back, you will find all the info you need. and as crazaytalent said, by crapping he means posting useless post like these ones, sorry probex. if you run jugg's rom it will work flawlessly, and the start and wait cursor will work. if you are using a different rom like mighty's, than you need to modify some things in order to get the start and wait cursor to work. you read throught the thread again.

The problem lies within certain custom roms. Certain roms are built off of different sys files, so the files are named differently. The cab probex provides will change the files needed in order to have a completly custom theme including the start menu icon and the wait cursor. But as said, depending on your rom, it may not change them last 2 things. Either way, this is still a gorgeous theme.

very very simple fix.....you just need to find the shelres.192.0409 and rename it to shellres.192.0409.mui.......that is the file with start icon and wait cursor.

depends what kind of phone do you have....if its not he pro or diamond than you cannot.

Your phone needs to be TF3D compatable

It does not need to be unlocked

If it is from sprint you will need to install the clock fix first.

Other then that your good to go.

right....although you are on stock rom so you dont have that much memory to work with or ram....it will appear to be sluggish at times and you probably wont have much room to put anything else on your phone since Probex's skin files are large due to the extreme detail and design he puts in it.....( Probe...M$ should be blowing you as I speak) i highly suggest you flash to a custom rom to see the real potential your Pro has and to really use the power behind it.

You got access denied because you have to disable touchflow first. goto Start/ settings/ items and uncheck touchflow then install the theme cab.

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON FIRST POST OR READ ME FILE CLOSELY.

It will work on a stock rom, you can do a custom rom when your feeling more confident with your phone, this will be a good start for you.

Yes I am aware of that but if you enter the profiles tab you can see the same thing as on the sound page.

There is no way around the white on white on the settings sounds tab and still have the white fonts.

this is the wrong thread to ask about the memory card issue. search for that, or ask in the support desk. also, you are not suppose to save tf3d themes to your memory card, they go in your MAIN memory.

To uninstall it just turn off TF3D first. Then uninstall... KEEP TF3D off untill you remove all the .cab files from first install.

soft reset

Keep TF3D turned off

Now install all the new TF7X white items

After installing all the new ones soft reset and turn TF3D back on.

You should be good to go.

mighty rom taskbar is the one tweaked to properly replace the start menu icon if you use mightyrom, which the original one did not due to wrong name in the file

the reason for that is because you are gsm..... the files will be named differently.

This them is freakin awesome! I tried out the new version with white text, there seems to be an issue though, whenever I click send/recieve or audio booster or anything on tf3d pop up menus, tf3d jumps me to another tab. Anyone else have this issue?

I have also noticed this when pressing send and recieve on a email it seems to see through the menu and switch tabs... really unsure why this happens... I wish I new more about the codeing part of touchflow. Unfortuanatly I dout I will be able to fix that. Good news is it still see's that you pressed it but it is a bit annoying.

Perhaps you could manipulate the black version to make a new white one, there seemed to be some difference between installing the different versions. Is a registry hack possible?

Actually the white version was built off the black version the only thing different is I went in a modified the colors of the text with the mode9 editor. I really am stumped. As for the task bar icons mine uninstalled using sktools then a soft reset?

other then that if you uninstalled the cab just install a new taskbar over top and it will overwrite.

yup as weesje said use the sites search feature located on the taskbar above and to the right of the banner also..... you can also find in the thmees area by going to the side menu to your left and clicking on the themes tab and scrolling down to touchflo 3d themes

Shut off the curtains in S2U2 settings and choose clockD in settings first off, unless you like that clock and the grey curtains. and the notifications ya mine does that as well but I think its S2U2 is a little buggy still.

Hey I just now tried to run this theme, I was waiting anxiously waiting until I flashed the mighty v4.13. So now that I am running that rom, I tried to instal cab.file and it came back "unsuccesful installation due to settings or insufficient system permissions???"

this is a cab installed theme so you can't use the config tool...just disable touchflo3d in settings and install the cabs in the order that it says to

People with diamonds have reported that the best way to use this theme on their devices is to load a rom that does not include TF3D [just a nice clean rom with all the tweaks] then install this as its a full install of TF3D so no need to have one already loaded.:glasses1:

not sure about the program button in landscape but to get all your programs to display on the programs tab you have to add that yourself. It is a cab file so search using the keyword allprogramstab i believe and you should find it

for some reason probeex as stated in this thread already couldnt get it to work thats why there is the error exclamation mark....... but who would really go through a list of apps on their phone in landscape mode... and as said above already thats a hack that you kind find in taylors hacks thread.

you still have the default theme, go to settings/today/ and select (i think its the bell theme he used) to change the color scheme of the taskbars to blue

I sure did... I installed all 7 applications in the following order:
WHITE-TF7X-PROBEX.cab
S2U2-TF7X-VGA-PROBEX.cab
PROBEX-blue-vga.cab
TF7X-WHITE-S2A-Theme.cab
PROBEX-blue-MightyRom-taskbar.cab
PROBEX Highlight Grey.cab
GODZSON -Hall Feica Font TF3D.cab

I reset between each install and have TouchFlow turned off during the entire process.

no a theme wouldnt cause that and i have ran each and everyone of probex's themes and never had troubles..... sounds like something on your side is messed up with your pc or your devices pins or something....

I sure did... I installed all 7 applications in the following order:
WHITE-TF7X-PROBEX.cab
S2U2-TF7X-VGA-PROBEX.cab

the only thing I can think of is its a rom issue like if your on stock, but didnt follow probex instruction for running on stock, or if you have a rom, w/ tf3d2 or something, and theyre in compatible... otherwise... you may have to wait for some extra support from other staff or the main man... probex himself...

Well, I am running a stock rom and I did soft reset after each step. But I think that eklipz3 is on the right track. If you look at the screenshot from the Probex-White, the ONLY black text still there is the month name. If I set my wallpaper to one of the 4 wallpapers that come with the install then I can see the month name in black. If I go and disable the wallpaper, it blends back into the black background.

Is the month name on the Calendar tab black or white on your phone??

same happens for me and this fixes it every time..... all you have to do is install and than without disabling touchflo reinstall the taskbar one and overwrite it when it asks...... soft reset on prompt and oyu should be good to go.

you need to go to the settings tab and choose wallpaper hit no on default and choose the wallpaper you want from there. i think the wallpaper included is in my documents

well, i found a few bugs too... try right/left slider scrolling in the middle or top of the screen, you'll see that the screen will change. it's as if the ENTIRE screen is a slider, not only at the bottom. and that's why sometimes, selecting secondary menu from the slider became a hassle. im just holding on to move to a better theme. it's kinda sad that each theme release is final and non-upgradable despite some nagging issues. which was why i did say, an almost perfect theme.

yeah thats true, me and my wife both ran this theme for 2 weeks, and never had a problem with it. also you gotta appreciate the time and effort probex puts into this themes. bot only does he give you a tf3d theme, but also a custom task bar, s2u2, throtle lock, boot up screen, and a dialer! i think thats pretty final.

look, im sorry if i came across as rude. that wasnt my intention. for that i apologise. and im not blaming the theme. im not blaming anyone. not even probex. if you DID read my previous posts i appreciated probex's effort for this theme. and DASH, im not a noob. believe me. i know what im doing. i edited this theme to my personal liking, i've cooked my own ROM (either based on official or custom roms.) which i learned in a very short time. all that i have done is ask myself: how.. and there's lots of help and google. so please dont call me a noob based on my post count. that's bordering on bashing and being irresponsible. in my first few post, yes i was a noob. but i have spent time searching for why's and how's.

my issue with the theme has existed since day 1 that i used. on the home screen, if i were left/right scroll in the middle or top of my display, it'll switch between my first and last tab. i have re-formatted my touch diamond countless of times, installed various self-cooked roms, but im still using the same TF7X theme. why? im into quality, NOT quantity. and certainly not shoddy work. TF7X isnt shoddy. but just a few bugs that i have learnt to deal with. for example, the S2A cab was for CDMA, but since mine's a GSM, i cldnt use it. and i ended up using the very nice buttons and cook it into my gsm rom.

so please, i was just stating some FACTS. i wasnt bashing nor had the intention to. while it's true that i just waiting for another theme to come along, im still using this theme. perhaps another theme from probex. or something as nice as what he created.

Appreciate the response probe. Yea i didn't think it was possible to have different backgrounds for different tabs. I had a couple of more questions and again probably noob questions...I wanted to know if it was possible to change the color of the font in the different tabs, and lastly it would be deeply appreciated if you can help a noob out and point me to a direction where i can learn how to customize the today screen such as moving the clock or making it smaller or making the texts invisible. I just have a sick wallpaper and i wanna make it show if you know what i mean. Any help would be appreciated.

Mikki to change the color of your fonts use ui tweaker found here at Wckediden and to show the homescreen a lil better install the small clock also found here i think its called corner clock .

I have a problem with my Calendar-tab. instead of the weekdays and monthnames is shows me "IDS_CALENDAR" or "IDS CALENDAR".

I think its cause i use a german phone+settings.

I think on XDA under the customizing TF3D thread Nisel whatever the hell his huge name is has made something that does change the backgrounds per tab. But I'm not sure this is anything for "everyday guy" as I'm pretty sure it involves editing the mode9 files to set each pages background. Its not really practical for theme implementation as the questions on how to load it would be endless. :glasses1:

what? what sprint clock? are you ronnunig the stock rom? if so you need to download resco file explorer in order to open the clock fix. then just copy those files to your windows folder. it will ask to overwrite, click yes to all.

did you disable touchflo before you tried to install the first cab like the instructions say? and also you arent running touchflo 3d-2 are you? if so this will not work on your device.

looks like i may be missing something simple, but to me it seems that the tf7x-by-prob is not a cab file as mentioned in step 2 above. I downloaded the zip file on my computer, and unziped and moved the file with in onto my phone however the file contained in that was not a .cab file.

What am i doing wrong?

well when you download a cab. file, dont unzip it on your computer, just drag it "AS IS" to your phone. it will show as acab. once is on your phone.

they are all cab files!!! the zips are like throttle lock and s2u2 skins.... follow the steps in the readme and you will be fine...... or in the first post also.

you need to download winrar mobile in order to open the rar. file from your phone. just search for it. never mind, here you go

well if it was sent we would have approved it for you already since that is usually done withing minutes by staff..... but did you join members software group because that is the one that you need.

i only clicked it the first time... i never did the second page where it ask your reason for accessing it. its all good now though so back on topic.

i'll let you guys know once i get access to the software section if this resolved my issue
