View Full Version : Sending Email Issues

I have a Touch Pro, and all of a sudden, I can't send email. This started a coupld of days ago. I have update KB958639 to address the outgoing SMTP issue installed, and have been sending emails wtih no issues for weeks now, but all of a sudden, I'm unable to send emails anymore. I uninstalled and re-installed udpate KB958639 as well as deleted and setup my email accound again, but nothing is able to get me to be able to send emails again.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

havent run into this on my pro, but there are to many different variables like what email server ur using as opposed to me.... but I used to have similar issues on my vogue, where Id be sending and receiving for weeks then all of a sudden I couldnt send anymore... and that would last a cpl days or more, and back and forth... what I found is that, if your setup was working fine... and youve done nothing to change or adjust it since then... chances are its a glitch on the email server end... and youd just have to wait for them to get there stuff together...

but there may be some other possibilites, just my train of thought!

i have to agree with zay...... most likely it is the server of your email client...... what email provider are you using?

I have not heard of that email provider before...is that a personal home email or related to a server through work...and if it is personal, who is your ISP provider?

I'd check with your ISP provider they may have changed some port settings or are starting to use authentication. I know for my company we just did a big change in alot of our port settings and our outgoin mail SMTP due to phising and possible security breaches. It may just be a simple fix. Also can you receive emails through an alternative program via PC like windows mail or OutLook Express??

guys he is using bellsouth lol.....I was having complications sending out and receiving emails last night thru my personal email which is optimum...my outgoing and incoming server for it is mail.optonline.net, Id say give it a fw hours maybe they are fixing some things up or so
