Ive got a mogul with alltel, but ive noticed that popular roms like kaos' are for sprint users. Is it possible to use those roms with my alltel network? what, if any problems will I run into?

Also, is it possible to remove the uncluded sprint software that i wont be using?

kaos roms, and most popular roms are multi-carrier roms. just read throught the whole thread and you will most likely find a link for your carrier. if you dont see one, i will suggest that post in THAT thread and kindly ask the cook to make one for your carrier.

Okay Sadffff... here the deal, most custom roms , will be able to flash for different carriers, unless the developer says only for a specific carrier... many custom rom are generic, and although the developer may have made them based of a specific carrier, you mmay still be able to runn them... first thing you need to do, is get yourself a carrier cab for alltel... do a search on caaaarrier cabs to find the thread, next read the rom thread thuroughly, to know for sure, quite often you can flash a custom rom, made under a different carrier, and as long as u restart the device after flash and before it customizes for that carrier, youll be be able to install the carrier cab(a cab that containns the carrier specific settings you need to activate yooour phone and data plan)... and always feel free to ask whatever questions u may have to in that rom there, where the developer or poster can provide support.... Hope this helps!

Mostly all CDMA Roms will work for other CDMA carriers, with the DCD carrier cabs. Its a GSM Rom that will never work for a CDMA phone, so dont even try that. And as for your question about removing sprint stuff, Custom roms dont have it. Thats a huge part of having a custom rom, it gets rid of all the bloatware.
