Hey guys, I was just wondering if there was a way to open up custom ROMS to see what .cab files are in there. Im asking this, because I like two custom ROMS and I wish that I could combine the two. I would want to extract the .cab files from one of the ROMS, because it has some nice programs included with it, but the ROM isn't very smooth. Is that possible, or is that just a bad idea?

if you've run the ROM before then you must know apps on it you like, you might as well just search and find them

be it here or through google. that just seems like an easier route to me

And they arent actually cabs in ROMs anyways, there OEMs. Which is all gonna be french to you if your not familiar with cooking. So your best bet is to due as ray suggested and search for your apps.

To add to that topic, what is the best way to learn how the get into cooking and working around kitchen programs ??? Because I like some of the original programs that was shipped with my touch pro but a lot of the cooked roms seem to drop some of the stuff I like...

I think the best way is to read description of what apps r included or dropped where u find thread usually gives a pretty good description of whats included or has been removed.. good luck finding the perfct rom that fits you..

probably the best way is to go to ppckitchen.org and download the buildOS and just mess around with it...but you are gonna have to learn programming stuff and registry stuff...with the buildOS you can build a rom but it isn't going to be anywhere near the current ones as most the chefs know about programming and stuff that is essential to building an amazing rom.
