Change Start text

Open the file named shellres.dll.****.mui and go the String value 321 change the name, compile script and save then sign with MSsigner and put in /Windows; Enjoy !!

Here are instructions for anyone needing or that would like to try themselves like me. I know theres another thread for icons (which i have completed) and this title says text. There are some out there that could save your precious time and try themselves. You should really specify your threads to limit confusion.

Lmao.. No i didnt get to have it cab'd so install the attatched cab, softreset then drop the vga icon in ur windows folder softreset again and it should work.. My bad got alot going on in my head..

if this icon works ill need to see a screenshot so i can see how it looks this vga icon is 22x22

Yes for the pro.....that's fine.....it didn't change the start text that you made me when I change the icons. Also it won't change the text that you made me right? They both can work at the same time.

ok, chauleyb : start/start icon.. depending on what rom ur running, if u have problems installing this u will have to rename to (start icon)SHELLRES.192.DLL.0409.MUI or SHELLRES.192.DLL (start) SHELLRES.DLL.0409.MUI OR SHELLRES.DLL

im not to sure how the shellres works on the 6.5 but go ahead and attach it and ill see what i can do.. as of now i can skin the cursor it to look like the pix below. i can also accept custom cursors but it will take longer to make..

thats a nice load icon..i can do with out the 6.5 1, do u know which file makes the x icon because when i change the task bar on 6.5 the x & ok icons get really small

Quick Nine ha a lil problem with icon and text u did for me. I appreciate the job just informing what took place. after installing bth in windows folder and overwriting I reset for the new text icon 2 take place instead phone locked up. tried resetting 6-7 times with no luck even tried taking battery out for 5 min. no luck. was forced into ard reset mode. maybe u might want to look at them from your attachment and can see what wrong. I will not attempt a reinstall, will stick to the ole opman. Thanks for your time in doing this I know peeps are busy.

also what rom ru running ? if its mighty/atr it should work with out a problem bcuz the shellres is named the same. this is the 1st problem i heard of.. im not at my laptop but i will get on palringo for assistance, asap!

I am running mighty rom r3born 4. I did not install no apps just the shells u made and reset for it to take effect and was stuck on probex splash screen 7. I was quite baffled. But all is good had backup on sd card. I will attempt one more time to see before i install apps and inform u of my findings.

i'm not to up to date with mightys rom and have very limited internet at the moment, so i asked metal mayhem to post my current reply. The start icon/text i made for you is to be used with atr roms and mighty 4.17 bcuz its vga wm6.1... What you might want to do on 6.1 only is to rename the files to "shellres.192.dll" for the icon and "shellres.dll" for the start text... Hope this works, if not i will see what i can do 2marow
p.s. You might want to ask mightymike what he named the files.. Bcuz idk what he used.........

i can get the text part to say 'h.i.t.m.a.n. 3 (but not in red) also its gunna be really long so it might not look right. I can do the ikon but fyi if ur running a 6.5 rom it will not work correctly

THIS IS DESIGNED FOR THE 6.1 ROM.. IF UR ON STOCK ROM I BELIEVE IF U ADD THE " ICONE DEMARRER" CAB PROVIDED IT WILL ALLOW THIS TO WORK CORRECTLY.

1. INSTALL ICONE DEMARRER CAB (SOFT RESET)
2. INSTALL SHELLRESXXXX FILES MANUALLY USING RESCO FILE EXPLORER OR ANY OTHER PROGRAM TO UR LIKING

oh man you got me there. i'm kind of in a delema about that right now. i'm gonna flash now just can't make up my mind. so if you make this will it only work for a certain rom or can i save it and use it with the next flash? also, if it would work alot better with 6.1 i could flash to that. i really like tf3d2 in 6.5, i don't really use titanium.

Well id love to fill ur request but at the moment im having alot of problems with 6.5 text/icons i dont know what it is but it seems to be disabling the start menu requiring a hard reset.. once again IM SORRY but untill i figure this out imma have to deny all 6.5 requests.. i hope u understand

ok welll for the past couple days i been trying to get back to 100% and im almost there, i can and will be able to do this for u asap sorry for the long wait but i been busy and as said above my lappy was unavalible.. PLEASE post a picture of what u want as a icon and remember for 6.5 i havent been able to do it as of yet but i will begin working on it asap
