new to the game

hello everyone i am new to the world of htc. i am currently trying to help out a friend update and mod her htc ppc6800. i am a avid blackberry user and like to learn all there is to know about technology. the main issue i am having is that i dont want to destroy her phone by installing a mod that is designed for another provider(she has us cellular).any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

glad to have you here and to answer your questions uscellular is cdma correct? (meaning no sim card) if so you can flash any rom than run the dcd carrier pack and be fine and ready to operate. take a look at my signature for flashing information and other useful stuff for you to get started :>
