Hello,

Awhile ago I had the Verizon XV6900 or HTC Touch. I was a great phone except I had txt messaging problems with it. I went through three of those phones and finally had it and switched to a BlackBerry. The BlackBerry runs great and its really fast but it really lacks openness. There are very few if any ways to truely customize the UI of the phone. So I am now wanting to get another WM a try. The XV6800 is the cheapest phone I can find for verizon. Do you guys suggest getting this phone. I realize that it is definatly not the newest but I kinda like how it looks and feels. Have any of you with Verizon experienced problems with txting or anything else? Any insight would be a wonderful help.

Thanks,
Robbie

if you a big text person than you will love this phone if you cant do the touch pro which i wouldnt do through verizon anyways. but its a very nice phone that has almost if not all the tweaks worked out on it already..... my thought is go for it but def flash a custom rom and i feel that you will be happy.

If you put a custom rom on it, make sure it is geared for the verizon rom, or follow the instructions on xda for flashing a sprint rom, then changing it back to the verizon software. It can be a nightmare to get picture messaging to function correctly once it has been flashed. So do some research before you go for winmo 6.1 (I flashed a buddies xv6800 and it worked well, except for the picture messaging. He ended up going back to the g-zone....)
