talk button dont work

hey i have a sprint mogul ppc 6800 rom version 3.56.651.0 but my talk button doesnt not want to work

when did it start to happen?
1. did you install anything before this started to happen?
2. did you soft reset?
3. did you use a program that maps buttons like aebutton and set it wrong?
