grooveROM has been updated based on the recently released 12-3-08 Telus ship rom. The stock Sprint oem folder has been incorporated into the sys/os of the Telus ship - CE OS 5.2.19965 (Build 19972.1.2.7).

The only modifications made to the stock Sprint rom (aside from build) is the addition of FM Radio, along with various reg edits for improved battery, performance, and camera quality. This is simply a starting point for grooveROM v2.x, which will have updated software versions and drivers in upcoming builds.

This is a Sprint specific ROM.

[11-16-08] grooveROM v1.4.0 and v1.4.1 - OS/sys 19965 - based on stock Sprint ROM

Here's two new versions. They are the same, except that v1.4.1 does not have Manila (TF3D) installed, which saves about 5MB of space. These versions are similar to v1.3, with some bloatware removed, and Diamond Qwerty & .net 3.5 updated. These versions also automatically install the Sprint PictureMail upgrade on first boot. I decided not to remove the cab installs that the stock rom has on these versions, but will remove all first boot cab installs in the next version. Enjoy.

I've updated this grooveROM to v1.3 which includes updated program versions, registry tweaks, additional programs, and minor cleaning to the stock Sprint ROM. I didn't want to clean too much, as some users have expressed that they like the "bloatware" in the stock rom. Future versions will have much "bloatware" removed.

Update 11-10-08: gROM v1.2

This Sprint rom is based on the stock Sprint Ship ROM (OS 19965), but has the added functionality of the FM Radio. Everything else on this ROM is 100% stock. It includes all software on the stock rom, inculding functional Sprint TV.

This version is different from the previous two, as I am no longer using the TCGF Kitchen, and reverted to stock builds. The reported bugs from previous versions are not in the current release.

I will be working on another update to this version soon that has registry edits, and additional software, plus updated versions and drivers. I did want to put this out however, as it is practically identical to the Stock Sprint rom with the FM Radio included, and the PagePool modified to 16MB.

yes this is for the pro and no i dont believe he makes a 6.1 version.... not many do anymore..... you could check out RSTG rom since i know he still has a 6.1 version.... but why not go with 6.5?

okay, so the homie gokuss3 tells me to give this rom a try, and after 3 days running this i must say is pretty nice. everything works as it should, no keyboard lag, and battery is very good also. the only place where i get a little lag, is when i exit the text message screen, but other than that im loving it. very good work! :):):)
