My mogul has been changing the ringtone on the home plug in to "viberate*" Im not sure why its doing this i havent added any apps latly and when it does this none of my sounds work on my phone at all. I have to go into sounds and change my ringer back to the one i use to get it to go back but soon after it changes itself back to viberate. I have been trying to pay attention to see if running an app or if an event is trigering it to change but as of right now it seems random any help would be great i tried to search this but i was unable to find an answer thanks again

If you have your sound profile set to automatic it will go to vibrate during appointments, and meetings, and stuff like that.

The very end tab on the right I believe. Where you can select to have Ring or vibrate. One option is automatic. Try changing that

Nah, you want normal. Automatic would be what would make the phone go to vibrate on its own

Ok, so your not runniing any kind of profile customizer, you manually set your profile to normal and its still changing on its own? Are you running a custom ROM or anything?

not a custom rom i have been thinking about trying that out, and the only thing i have ever used to change the alerts of my phone has been that tab on the home plugin, the com manager to put it on viberate and back to normal, and now as of today i have been playing with winterface which has a profile button, and i havent noticed if using winterface has fixed anything yet so far it hasnt gone back to viberat, and im thinking back and i think it seemed like it started doing this after using htc home customizer to change the icons and apperance of the home plug, has anyone ever had this happen after using the customizer?

Damn, that sucks man. Only thing I can think of is to back up your personal info with PIMBackup, backup all your pics, music, ect to your storage card, then do a hard reset. It sucks, but Im outta ideas. You might wanna try uninstalling every program you have installed first to see if one of them are causing some kind of conflict. Any other ideas that havent been covered are welcome.

I recognize that this thread is pretty old, but I stumbled across it. My question is which contact manager you are using. I found that several of the "all in one" PIM managers (pocket informant and/or photocontact come to mind, but not sure which one) will check your calendar and adjust the sounds appropriately. If you are showing "busy" it will switch to vibrate or other silent minder. Check your settings for something like the "automatic" in HTC home and adjust it as necessary.
