I know I was just bustin his chops.. He's been working hard trying to keep up with all the requests. As for the clock I kinda like it. Yes, its a bit faded but the sparkles within the numbers keep it bright enough for me:) Its the "PimpUrPocketPC TF2D Diamond Clock". What it comes with (as you prolly already know) is the stock white flip clock. I'm just a modder at heart and cant NOT change things lol...

Edit: I just looked at that screenshot and its not that faded looking on my phone. Maybe its just swckedscreenshot messing up idk...

No not really, unless u mess with the homesettings.txt then maybe you can alter it to what you want, but if u go to the email tab and press the right soft key press accounts then it will take u to the account picker

The way I do it is use Sprint Mobile Email.. :) Works perfect.. Just pushes all my gmail messages to my phone...


Just set up my Yahoo without Sprint Mobile Email and it shows both accounts on the email tab.. So it should work fine..
It will have 2 little icons for each account with the amount of emails that you have on the account

Thats because you didnt install the cab files in Tier Auto Installer.. 3 of the cabs were opera.. you needed to install all 3 so just look in the windows folder

Install the DCD Carrier Cab for whatever Carrier you are on and your internet will work

I decided to keep this ROM cause its simply badass. I just have 2 questions, one not that serious and another that is just very bothersome.

I only use Windows Live Messenger to send IMs, is it hidden somewhere or will I have to install it?

And.. for some reason when I try to open the YouTube app it says, YouTube - Error "There is not enough free storage space to run YouTube. Minimum free storage space required is 8MB." What's weird is I was flashing different ROMs and I had yours installed after Kaos and b4 BJs and YouTube was working fine. I checked all the memory and there is PLENTY room, what could I have done wrong? I barely reflashed yours a few hours ago.

If he didnt Hard SPL the bootloader then it wouldnt accept unsigned code so it wouldnt have even flashed.. I could be wrong but thats my understanding.. I do think he missed something though

Ok, so here is what I did before going to bed. I checked the radio version, and i was unlocked with the 4.......coke version. sorry cant remember. The strange thing is, I loaded another custom rom and the same thing is happening. Then by accident, I learned if I left the usb cable connected to my phone and pc, It would have no problems. sounds like you are using the wrong bootloader...... they was two unlockers, the first pre gps one and the 2.40 after gps release version....

Yeah he is using the wrong bootloader... he needs 2.31 .. 2.40 is for the titan :wink:



Ok drunkensunday you need unlocker 2.31.. You either are using 0.40 or 0.41 so go into the Touch support area on this site and download the 2.31 unlocker and then you should be good

Actually no.. The new TouchFlo 2D has that..I am using an older version so I can use this Diamond Skin because the new builds of TouchFlo 2D wont work with this skin

for some reason, i cant delete any messages in my outbox. whenever i send a text to anybody, that message in my outbox gets sent too. and whenever i try to delete it the phone freezes even if i juss try to open my outbox folder. any suggestions? coz i always have to hard reset to delete that one message:(

if you have ever ran a custom rom befroe than yes. what you are basically doing is unlocking the bootloader so you can trick the device into reading the custom rom of choice (or other carrier rom) into thinking its the carriers certified rom.

As D/\sh already said you will need to use the unlocker so you can be able to load custom rom's. You will want to go ahead and read this thread (https://www.wckediden.com/showthread.php?t=153750&highlight=FLASHING+ROMS) in full detail. Maybe look around the site at some of the custom rom threads and learn a little bit so you are well prepared to flash for the first time. Just dont be scared to do it. Trust me it looks alot more complicated than it actually is. Good luck.

Well you can use v2.3 and then upgrade when v2.4 comes out.. up to you though

If your anything like the rest of us you'll flash to v2.3 play with it and familiarize yourself with the rom. Then when v2.4 comes out flash to that. Yes, I'm addicted and flash several times a week lol. Its up to you really. You could wait but I know I wouldnt lol..

Haha I think we are all in the same boat. I flash quite often sometimes 2-3x a day. Hell I flashed at 6am yesterday. Then spent the next few hours setting everything up.

yes, it was on mines and to get internet u must install the dcd cab for your provider. the link is on the beginning of the thread. hmmm i wonder how 2.4 is coming along..

What errors are you getting? If I know them I will help you out.

You can change the registry to change the internet browser and I believe music player

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila(might be without\HTC and just manila I am not sure right now)

you just have to follow the steps carefully otherwise you can brick your device even though it is very rare that it happens...... so basically you would need to be able to type and change what it tells you too.... and you would need a registry editor like bytes or resco to do so.

Yes this is for the Vogue, I have flashed this to my Vogue. It just shows the Diamond picture in the Rom Update Utility program for some reason....

I switched from my Mogul to my Touch bc I like this ROM. Now that I have been using it for a day or so I've noticed a few things...

you could try that, but are you sure that you are sliding it all the way?

well yah..... but ur rite, if i really concentrate and slide it all the way then it works fine, but if i just do it like normally i would it will not answer and more over it stucks rite there and only the end key works... now i've started using the send key to answer... u know that slide to lock theme, s2u2, i wish it'd work atleast like that.... its not working properly..... everything else is gr8 tho.....

its prolly two apps conflicting with eachother and not the rom...... what apps were you running when it worked fine and what did you add after that point that made it do whatever since you didnt share that with us

Nothing, thats what I don't get. Everything installs and works fine, the first call answers just fine, and then I did nothing else to it and the next call started the issues again.

has anybody tried sprint mobile email on this rom ??? its not installing properly on mine... when i try to rum the cab file, it gives me a error saying "can not load resources(126,7e)" ... it does that few times and then stays on that installing screen but the progress bar does not change so i have to reset my fone.... i thought it was my fone so i did a hard reset this morning and now its giving me the same error again... so i don think its my fone... any idea guys ????

i think sprint emai is done with and no one has it anymore..... or doe that start at the beginning of the year.... havetn looked into this recently.

Nothing, thats what I don't get. Everything installs and works fine, the first call answers just fine, and then I did nothing else to it and the next call started the issues again.

I'm having a weird problem with this.

The first time I installed this, I was having a similar problem to mrpants delay in ringing. I had already set the slot index to 0 but it was still delaying answering. But otherwise, everything was working correctly.

So I decided to do another hard reset after yanking the battery again. (did that when I originally installed this rom)

After it rebooted and loaded everything it now answers calls correctly. But now, push mail isn't pushing. I set up mail2web and if I do a manual send/receive it works. If I go to the com setting in touchflo (next to last tab) and turn push off and turn it back on it immediately gets my mail. But then it won't push again until I turn push off and back on.

Any ideas?

Anyone else experience any problems with push mail on this rom? I've re-flashed a couple of times now and still can only push once after I turn push of and then back on. It will not push again until I repeat.

I'm thinking of flashing stock and then reflashing to this rom to see if it clears up. Just hate to go through all that if it's something that can be fixed easily.

Windows Mobile allows you to push mail to your phone much like the blackberry. I have been using mail2web as my exchange server since they are free. Instead of having the phone check mail periodically, I normally get my mail as it arrives via push.

But it's not working now. It will only work immediately after I turn push off and back on via the comm panel.

I love the look of this rom and the touchflo that's included. Way better than stock.

But since push mail is an essential for me, I'm gonna have to go back to kaos' rom I guess. It must just be something specific to my setup or maybe I'm the only one using push mail. I dunno. :(

i tested on a backup phone and my push email through mail2web worked fine on this rom.

Yea that happens with S2U2 with the S2A option on. Dont ever use it, it will work for a while, but it will stop working eventually without fail. There have always been problems with S2U2, it is a developed aftermarket software and all the kinks have not been worked out yet:)

Some people have been reporting broken tethering.. Try it and let me know :) I dont tether so I havent tested it but I am planning to tomorrow

I had to redo all my gps settings because this rom is not carrier specific. Here (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36377) is a thread that will help you...

You'll need your MSL#. There is a program that will give this to you built into this rom. Just insert your HexESN# and it will give you your MSL#.

For the Opera Homepage.. Google IS your homepage but in Manila its set to espn which is my fault I forgot to change it haha... But all you have to do is edit Manila in the registry and change what it says and what it loads :) simple enough (many threads on XDA about how and where and what)

Just search on XDA because I dont know how lol.. I dont know the value.. Maybe after a little looking threw but its easier for you to just search for it

Hey Dette, great rom and loving it. Had some questions though. I did not see flashbundle in the list of updates up to 2.3, thats what im running. Also I was wondering if there is a simliar program to HHC that will work on this rom and if that weather patch file will work with the weather program that you have. Another thing is there a way to turn off the sound when i am clicking on start menu? Thanks, great phone so far. I now can show my gf that I have a touch Pro also, haha. haven't tried gps, hopefully that works fine.

I had to figure this one out too. when you go to albums, then click where you have your pics stored, like SD card or wherever, then when your photos pop up on the screen, click menu and click "set album as favorite" and then those pictures will show up when you scroll over the tf2d picture icon. hope that helps.

the first time you try to connect make sure you are in clearer skys and outside..... sometimes the first time can take longer to connect for some reason.

Hey Dette, great rom and loving it. Had some questions though. I did not see flashbundle in the list of updates up to 2.3, thats what im running. Also I was wondering if there is a simliar program to HHC that will work on this rom and if that weather patch file will work with the weather program that you have. Another thing is there a way to turn off the sound when i am clicking on start menu?

its called opal phone canvas.... search for it u will find it.... i fould it on two threads... there is one where there is only one file of about 10 mbs...... there r few problems on that and there is another thread where there r like 5 or 6 files..... install all of them and "U WILL BE GOLDEN" :109:

The flash bundle? For Opera? Or which one do you mean?
Flash works in Opera

for a program like HHC for Manila just get M2DC (Manila 2D Customizer)

Search XDA for the patched weather :D

To turn off the sound for the menus go to:
Settings>Personal>Sounds & Notifications>Events (warnings, system events) and uncheck that box
