BTW...the link I posted takes you directly to the specific news release, and not just the list of all Sprint's releases.:on_the_quiet:

I was told by my local Sprint Store that On-line sales would have the Pro this coming Monday (the 3rd). They have no clue about when there will be Pros for in-store sale and I was there on Friday the 31st. Meanwhile, back at the ranch I limp along with my battery challenged Diamond Touch.....and man oh man does it get hot. Maybe the Pro has a tiny, itsy bitsy internal air conditioner in it which would make it oh so much more comfortable to hold. As it is, I need asbestos gloves to hold my HTC without broiling my hand. And before there are any wise cracks, I have modded my phone to link with this site, capture your GPS location and fry your phone if my feelings get hurt. You've been warned!

Hmm.. It'll be interesting to see how Sprint customers respond to this in the next 12 months or so.

I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but I went to the store yesterday and too was told that stores wouldn't be releasing for at least a few more days. But then I showed them the notice from Sprint indicating in-store-sales would start Nov. 2nd, which prompted the sales guy to say he'd have to check with the manager. I don't believe that conversation took place; yet, next thing I know, we're ringing everything up, and I'm walking out with my new TOUCH PRO... ...HOT DAMN!!! That's the liquor, not the profanity.

Anyway, It's been less then 24 hours, so I haven't had much time to really get to know the phone; but the more I tinker with it, the more awesome I feel about this thing! I noticed a little warmth at one point during the initial "charge cycle" yesterday, but it's been at my side all day today, and I haven't felt anything. I'll try running more app's as the week goes on, and check battery life and unit temperature and get back to ya'.

What Bman said, literally! I called and was told..."we don't have em and we don't know when we are gonna get them, blah, blah, blah." Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me the the frigging Sprint Store had put up brand new shiney posters extolling the Pro last Saturday! Anyway, to continue I 'splained' a few things to who ever had the bad luck to be talking to me and what do you know, a manager came on the line after maybe 5 minutes and said "amazing news, we have the Pro they were released as of 9 AM, this morning." I was talking to these wizbangs at 9:10 AM! At 9:30 AM I was in the store getting fitted out for my Pro and saw the HTC/Sprint Pro poster on the wall. Obviously they do not have sales meetings. (scheesh!) I suggest if you get a verbal 'no' to prevail until you get a yes because they do have them and the manager at my store said they had a boat load of them. Note, I got a kick out of changing my profile so I didn't get beat half to death for not doing so. hehehehe

Now that I have my Pro, the differences between it and the Dia Touch are obvious and NICE!!!! I am wondering what mods I want and or need. I know one thing Live Search needs.....a catagory for finding loose women, hahahaha. That would be a trip and a half. <yes I think about these kinds of stupid things all the time> Really....it's too bad Live Search can't be modded out to search for things like this, etc. hehehe
