Any suggestions

Does anybody have any suggestions on a step by step guide to installing new apps,thems,mods ect. to my touch 6900? I'm really good at computers but I never touched a ppc before now. If anybody got an answer i'd owe you big time. I just don't want to screw my new phone up.
