What's up everyone. I'm the Matchstick from Eau Claire, WI.
Currently I'm rocking out the Motorola RAZR2 V9m on the Alltel network. However, this coming Tuesday I will be acquiring my very own HTC PPC6800, also on the Alltel network. And I thought I'd get a jump on things and join this forum now.
Any ideas on where I can go with the phone? I'm open to anything, this will be my first smartphone. I've been using Motorolas since I've had my own cell phone account. This is quite the leap for me, not to get a new Moto. But I fell in love with the PPC6800, and decided I must have it.
So yeah, thanks for your time.

firstly, bro, welcome
second you might wanna navigate thru the forum and find the right thread for that support...
as far as i know, if you downloaded a .tsk file, all you need to do is drop it in the my documents folder on your phone...then select it from settings/personal/today

If it's a tsk file, it's relatively simple to install. If you're using the "ACTIVE SYNC" software that came with your phone package, there's an icon on your desktop that has two blue arrows that says My Documents - or something to that effect. Click and drag the .tsk file to that folder then run your active synch. Once the sync is completed, on your phone got to:
Start
|_ Settings
|_Click the Today icon
|_in the table you should see the file.
Frome there, just highlight the file and press "OK" in the top right corner. The phone will update once you close out of that screen. Worse case scenario, reboot the phone.
Note the window will not say xxx.tsk, just whatever the file was called. i.e. spiderman or 74632 or Jets etc.
I hope that helped and welcome to the site and I hope you enjoy your phone. One things for sure, after using a smart phone, I don't ever see myself using a "generic" cellphone again.
