Got an HTC Touch 6900 CDMA (Vogue?) from Cellular South last week. My first Windows phone. Having some weird issues with it but I like the phone. Definitely looking to "personalize" it more. In the week I've had it, I've gotten a GPS receiver, TomTom7, 2400mah battery (with a cover that doesn't have the ugly hump in it), new stylus that has a pen in it and software wise, TomTom7, HTC Home Customizer, MemAid, SelectRadio (gotta have my Sirius), TCPMP for video, Google Maps, Live Search, AudioManager. Of course one thing I've noticed is that my PPC runs slow. Not sure why. DOes it even when I don't have anything running. *shrug*

I really like the HTC Home Customizer but I wish I could figure out how to put a shortcut to PHONE on my home screen. It gets annoying having to go to START>PHONE.

I also like the standby/shutdown/soft reset ??app?? seen in this thread: https://www.wckediden.com/showthread.php?t=170000

SO much I want, just trying to figure out how to do it.

Anyway, HI ALL! :mafia:

well you have quite a few many hogs on there................ and the stock rom isnt the greatest. i would recommend flashing to a custom rom with wm 6.1 and the gps enabled so no more use for the receiver....... we have everything you will need here . if you have any questions feel free to ask in the help desk area located from the side menu.

Thanks

Yeah, they can be hogs but 90% of the time, they all aren't running at the same time and even when none at all are running, my phone seems sluggish. I've thought about taking it back for a replacement since I'm still in my "can do that" time frame. In my initial post, I said about it acting weird.. the main thing being that when I go to START>PHONE and use the phone, then X out of it, it still says PHONE where it's supposed to say START and it won't let me bring up the START menu no matter how many times I press it. I have to soft reset. It doesn't happen all of the time but it's still annoying to have to reset just because the START menu won't come back when I X out of the PHONE.

ROMS: I have hesitated to mess with any roms since I'm with Cellular South and all I've seen is Sprint and Alltel roms in my CDMA world. Didn't know if they would work with CSouth or not. I've seen lots of other roms too, apparently not official ones but ones made by individuals. Not knowing anything about the roms and the process, I didn't want to brick my phone. I've read where some of them turn on EVDO Rev A. I don't know which version of EVDO CSouth is using since they *just* started using it and turned it on here in my area. I'm going to guess Rev A since Sirius radio stations and YouTube videos download quickly and for the most part play continuously without stopping to buffer again.

I'd definitely like to have the internal GPS turned on, but I don't have any issues with this small Holux M1200 I'm using. It's the size of a lipstick tube and has worked flawlessly for me so far.

So you think I could the Sprint or Alltel ROMS or any other CDMA rom?

Thanks for the time.
