Whats up to my Wckediden fam. Been awhile.But i finally got my exe issues sorted out. Now some of you like my roms. some like but wanted some different things...So I'm a do it like this. Here will be two versions of my take 3. One more politically correct. One same old raw attitude.So hope you enjoy.

OK FASTEST SIMPLEST WAY TO UPDATE WITHOUT FLASHING LEAKED ROM...Take a old sd card...or one laying around.....formatt it to FAT32 drop file below in it....put it in phone...HOld power and camera button......then while doing this....insert stylus into reset hole...it will flash new radio.....no need to install leaked rom then mine...do this simple fix...

no you need to flash the other radio from the leaked official rom. this is built off of that rom.

yes dash is correct if you have never flashed then flash other first..if you were running my take 2...i flashed straight to my take 3 no issues....at all...please report any issues on take 3 only in this thread..

Ok, now I'm confuzzled. I started with the 3.35 rom, then flashed to take 2 last week. Does that mean I can go straight for take 3, or should I flash the 3.56 rom first?

this is a dumb question but i still want to ask on your take 2 was their a way to cut the display off at a certian time the real question is can you do it on this one got your take 2 on mine now just could not find the display options

if all is the same just take out the battery and do a hard reset and about the welcome center couldnt tell you maybe a sprint thing?

hmmm just checked and radio didnt stick in rom..but its working fine..i am building a fix will be up fast...like next 10 minutes....so you just flash radio...very simple.....

welcome center is nothing more then a memory hog..it basically is a program that tells you whats new in 6.1 and walks you through 6.1's new features...like on xp machines have a welcome center tour...not needed...we all know how and what 6.1 has...after all weve been running it longer then officially been released...lol

you need a RUU utility to flash rom from pc. or if you wanna flash with sd card, rename file to TITAIMG.NBH

you need a ruu...its on the site...ruu installs the rom.....just drop this nbh in the folder for ruu and run it..

ok so i just flashed and i had to do the leak first, well i didnt, but i did! I took my battery out after the flash to take 3, took a look then soft reseted and im getting 25 on a fresh start so thats a positive thing! I like the quick clear and how fast and responsive it is. When i did the soft reset it went through the screens faster than a stock rom switching to a windows directory! I ll give an edit later....shits fire homie

Got take 3 Up and Running! I am running the Striped version cause I like *****es naked before they get ****ed, but in any case got 27.59MB on SOFT RESET!! No apps installed will post when everything is installed and configured! Thanks KAOS for continuing to Stive to make the best ROMS for use JUNKIES!

Before I dive in I need to know one thing. I flashed the leaked ROM and they seem to have blocked the workaround for phone as modem that I posted a thread about and it gives a error 67 (wont let me do it). I'm at my mother's for the summer with no internet so the phone as modem is all I got! AND I DONT WANNA PAY SPRINT!!! Internet sharing didn't work and neither did WMwifirouter (but i couldn't get that to work for me even with other ROMs). Is this still an issue with TAKE 3? If someone could test both methods for me and let me know if either works I'd be highly appreciative.

Is it possible to flash the radio without dropping it on an SD Card? From some searching I was doing, I read some notes that the 2.40 bootloader couldn't do it.

Theres lot more apps that need java like games and such so it should be in there for those that need it.

Only issue i have is when i connect my phone to the pc.. Some apps stop working and i get a error on my phone, but i can still sync and send info normally while connected and my apps still work. I just immediatley get a error when i connect it....like taskbar.exe stop working or failed. No biggie at all! SUPER HAPPY!

Did you happen to touchflo to stripped or was it just the full version. I dl last night i can always add it later to. With all my programs installed i hover around 19 mb free AWESOME AWESOME ROM love this one as much as i did Take 2. THANK YOU

No No Need! If you were running take 2, but it doesnt hurt! I took the bat and hard resetted even though i was on take 2. just to be safe!

So i've had this rom for a while and for a while all was well. Yesterday I opened up internet explorer and google loaded, but no matter what address i went to or typed in it just reloaded google.

So i restarted it, and it gave me the tricolor bootloader. Reflashing it I was able to get it to boot again, only for it to go back to the bootloader after a reset again. After reflashing it AGAIN, it stayed for a bit but there was no signal to the towers. Not only that, but the contacts and phone were "gone". Clicking the green phone button does nothing. Data connection was still there and still worked.

Also, unable to sync or connect to the computer.

And then this morning it brought me back to the tricolor screen.

I went ahead and ordered a replacement phone since i have the insurance and i wanted a new battery and my usb port was messed up anyway, but i was wondering if you guys had any ideas, i could just turn it into a wifi device if nothing else.


Just for fun, installed new rom...everything works. NJ Sprint forgot to cut my service so now i have a working phone yay.

EDIT: figured it out already. took out voice command and java. it would really be nice to see the new icontact implemented:brows:

It's already been addressed. i assume you DLed before today. Kaos reupped the link and he's fixed the camera. DL the RUU again.

Sprint NaV (telenav) i believe is in the ROM that has the extras. Not the ripped and clean version. Also, if not to s search for it here on Wckediden. We have it!

did you dl the new one he posted? make sure your radio is updated and sometimes a battery pull and hard reset is necessary even with the same radio. i get that sometimes so i make it a habit to do those. i've flashed all the versions of his take 3 rom and i haven't had a problem yet.

damn!!! ive tried every way and the mogul still freezes sooner or later and it remains frozen even after a soft reset always leading to a hard reset so i cant install all my apps!!!
ive tried to flash the 3.42 official rom first then this one. then i tried to flash the 3.35, then take 2 and then take 3 and still no dice..... and im removing the battery, hard resetting post flash so im no noob to this but im stumped. maybe its the device...

Alrite, reDLed ROM and reflashed. Throttle is working beautifully. And the only issue I'm still havin is the Activesync thing but its only been about 30 mins, but things are looking up. I'm gonna add the rest of my apps and see if I pinpoint anything. Thanks Kaos.

Kaos, do you ever put out kitchens or whatever it's called for these? I've still got a lot to learn about those, and I had trouble trying to take one of the nuerom bases and work with it. Your rom is pretty darn close to perfect for me, so I'd love to be able to tweak a couple things rather than trying to mimic your awesomeness from the base rom.

Just wondering if theres any way to make the default call volume MAX. Every time i get a call i gotta change it and the scroll wheel no longer automatically changes the volume in call.

Any ideas? Other than that I seem to have minor speed issues even though i flashed ROM2 which was the "lighter" version.

no there isnt and the scroll wheel should still work without problems..... you could always use a button mapper like aebutton i think its called to add that to the scroll wheel.....

lol thanks for the compliment but no i never release a basekit...just for the soul fact that things always seem to act differently from one person to another.It takes me atleast a hr to tweak no2's basekits..lol its a pain i know.Trial and error are key.I must of made 50 plus roms before take 1 and i finally figured my way around the kitchen.Hint the kitchen updater is buggy as hell...i always direct download all my stuff then import them myself into the kitchen with out the buildos touching them.......btw next release will have latest of everything including icontact .76.

you need to unlock to be able to flash custom roms, unlock and reflash and you should be good

mine did that too, i re-flashed it with olipro and then re-flashed the rom again. Worked after that. It did stay at the htc screen for a little while the first 1 or 2 times. (Maybe 1-3 minutes?)

Thanks for the update. I've been starting to learn this whole kitchen thing, but it's definately a bit convoluted. Just a matter of finding the time (which with work right now, ain't an easy proposition) to learn the thing. I wish we could have a VM style kitchen where you load a base rom, load the apps (just like you were on the phone itself), then compile the new rom out of it. Suppose that'd be too easy though, mfrs would never allow it.

I also came across a bug in the contact edit form (assuming that's not actually iContact but the built in editor) that I wasn't sure if was related to the rom, or just inherent to the application. When you go to select a ringtone for a contact, the ringtone continues to play until it finishes, or you save or cancel the contact edit. There's no way to stop the playback after you set the ringtone without leaving the edit form.

Take 2 was using the 3.35 radio where Take 3 uses 3.42. Read the second post in the thread for how to update the radio. It's really simple. Basically, you drop the radio rom on an old sd card formatted to fat32, pop it in the phone, hold the camera and power and hit the reset button. The phone does the rest.

In the for what it's worth category, flashing off the card is easy enough to make it worth getting another one. You can pick up a 2 gig card for $20 or less, and then use the 500mb card that came with the phone for flashing and stuff.

You can USE a 64MB card! thats the minimun! The file is small. Even the ROM file.!

Listen the way this site works is by reading, Wckediden staff is not gonna hold your hand on flashing a rom when there are threads like this that have been discussed many time. There is the link below almost every Wckediden SIG on learning how to flash! I am sorry to come off strong, its just that we are redundent on alot on the same thing you asked and its like one never ending cycle! Just read this thread. thats how we all learn!

yes you can do that no problem, just dont forget to unlock your mogul before flashing take 2

you need an updated radio but Kaos clearly stated that if you are running take 2 then you may pass to take 3, flash the radio and run take three with the new radio

No Mike you can flash from the take 2 ROM to take 3. While on take 3 ROM flash to the LEAKED RADIO then flash back to take 3

yea doesnt work and wont with this ROM or any other one that came out after 3.35. the only way it will, is if corel themseleves release a new version update. sorry!

hey jew what i did to get mine working. had take 2 went to take 3. pulled my sd card formatted dropped the radio flashed it. reformatted my sd card back to fat and everything has been good i dont know if that helps anyone. Instead of everyone trying to find a card use the one you have. it took me all of 10 minutes i think

Tried it. It'll play for a while, but won't go into full screen. Also, when I try to change the volume on the device, it locks up the Mogul. Figured it might be a conflict with the ROM? If anyone else has it working solidly let me know.

on this very page we have it said and in the first psot of the thread..... all you do is stick your card into your computer or an extra card since you will lose all stuff on it and format to fat32 and than drag over the nbh file and manually place the phone in bootloader.

i have done that & in fact, doing it right now.....
it just sits on the 4 color screen & says serial at bottom
formatted to FAT32 then copied 66mb nbh file to it, held power & camera then pushed reset, loaded to red, green, blue & white screen, hasn't moved for 15mins now.............

you can 1. put it in ruu utility and flash from pc. or 2. rename to TITAIMG.nbh and put on empty microsd card formatted to fat32 and flash from there. to flash from sd you press power button and camera button together then press reset button

oh dashy you dont know what your missing....I have not flashed a rom or radio other then from sd in ages...its so much faster.....but if your having difficulty i hope you knew enough to unlock the phone before trying lol....it will work...mine stopped at 100% and said successful then i soft reset.....

use the stripped....it should work...if not you got a bum cab...i dont use sprint nav.but the stripped didnt have any so use that add the others stuff in you want....

i have successfully uninstalled and installed this like 4 times you might have a bad dl. try again. cuz ive done it with 2 different versions no issues. hope this helps

Also if anybody's flashing via sd make sure your cards a non sdhc 2gb or less with an allocation size of 1024 along with FAT32.
Sd is the only way i flash now unless its an exe.

Alight been runnin it for a while and its great! I use my mms hack through alltel and it doesnt work for me on this one. I cant send mms through sprint due to i dont know how they would react if i sent them 10 a month for mms seeing that im with alltel...lol. My other prob is that when i hit reply to an sms and then open the phone to start typing sometimes it opens the dialer instead. Give me a fix for mms besides the treo hack.
