D/\SH EDIT: i found out how to get rid of the numbrs that appear on the top or bottom that ar quite annoying. what you do is chose your tab from the options and than once you do that click on change and than up top choose the tab named display and name it to what you want or make it blank and it will show asolutely nothing!!!

Overview: Launch Ultimate is a powerful Today plug-in for Windows Mobile. It represents any number of tabs available on which other Today plug-ins accommodated or symbols to start programs can be viewed. Between the tabs can be modern way with the finger be changed by in either direction will be deleted. The Tabwechsel be animated. Almost everything can be individually adjusted and adapted.

first time setting up i didn't disable the plugin for htc in today...on reboot froze unusable had to hard reset...then on second attempt....i had it working went to update my htc customizer and upon reboot froze once again....I aint playing with this no more.lol

huh odd i never had any problem with either of thse. i changed my clock and all after i instlled kaos new black mesh theme and also i did the same with the htc omeplugin but was able to disactivate and than soft reset and it was fine. i wonder why it would be doing that for you. by any chance i know wcked is rinning 2.17 are yourunning the same rim version??? it might be a flaw with the program on that version of the rom.

it could be i now slide2unlock does create a coflict with this app for sure..... if you guyz want list off all the apps that you are running and i will compare to what i have and gve you the options that are left over and also tell you if two of the programs that yu have combined are causing the problems.

ya i am on no2chems wm6.1 ...I also had that plugin auto start on startup....after i assigned htc plugin too it...thats when i went in to do my clocks and all...funny thing is that after i selected all my stuff in htc customizer. it ask to soft reset.i said yes. on all of them said conflict could not be installed.then reset and just blah...freeze central.no stress id rather be on no2's new wm6.1 .... its perfection now. ;p but i do have s2u2,quickmenu. and loads of other appz.

just saw this when i got done moderation the posts. that could be right there that the 2.17 rom isnt playing nicely with the app.... ar you using slide2unlock any version or the cube on your mogul curently becasue that can cause problems with the app also.

well if you do go for 48 then use the cabs.....i seriously don't see me flashing again till official drops...48 is perfect...49 i hear had a issue with the battery icon...but the cabs didn't so i stuck with 48 modded with the cabs to 49.

I had already done that, as well...I've been using your extra clocks, tabs, etc...ever since you put them on Wckediden.... Kaos helped me with it by suggesting that I uncheck the UL in the Today area, edit customizer, then recheck UL... Worked just fine.. This is Awesome!!! Thanks, again...

look at the last field at 1:42 and it says bottom and i just thought do you have the ultimate launch set to the top item from start/settings/personal/today/and than under the second tab on the bottom go there. and than make sure that ultimate launch is at the top of the list.

At first it was active sync launching and crashing the phone, got that fixed by unchecking all auto start/launch options, but now it does not launch on its own.
Now its crashing when launching calendar (on its own).
Its got all the right features but its just too buggy.
Looks like its back to start Today screen again.

its launching active syc cause you have checked the option to start on startup uncheck it....i had same issue....like i said above hold on give me a few and i will have a cyrstal clear screen video up with all the correct settings...and ones dash didnt go over...

bro did you read through the thread at all or just post???? thee are here for a reason. but all you have to do is go to start/settings/personal/today/2nd tab on bottom/ thanclick on the ultimate launcher to highlight than go to move up until its all the way up. (as far as it will let you.)

ok put the cab file anywhere on the device (i reccomend the storage card) and than double click the file and install to main memory when it asks. than your done. ust go to registration and enter any serial and you will be golden.... for installation of cab files you would have found the info under the help desk and in the noob section r by doing a quick search so pleas in the future do that.

aright that means yo have to many plugins on your homescreen try to get rid of some of them by unchecking fro mthe area i toldyou above one by one and that will go away..... ( you can add thoseplugins to the launcher.

if you look at my video i have the space too im working on seeing if i can cofig the files to make that gap less or not there at all... you can add the homescreen plugins to the launcher.... kaos shows how to do this step by step in his video which is the 3rd one in the first post.

It makes sense.. since my calendar is the next thing down on the home screen and the auto resizing this option ("Always minimize height") may not be setting the tappable area for the calendar properly when it makes the Ultimate Launcher smaller to accommodate some of my tabs with less icons.

I just hate seeing all that wasted space on the tabs with only three icons in it. But maybe I'll just get used to it if the resizing option is causing the problem.

I'll post back if this resolves my calendar auto launch problem later after I test it.

this had been discussed already in the earlier posts around page 2-5. go into start/setting/today/items and uncheck the htc home plugin then x out then do a soft reset and it should work, also make sure in the ultimate launcher setting u have htc home instead of the htc homeplug.

I got a little problem with my Launcher

1 my contacts icon next to the SMS does not bring up my phone contacts. Got any Idea?
I tryed to switch out the file with a few different files but no luck

2 how do i make my clock small in height so I dont have a slide bar on the right hand size

I got rid of all the items except 3 of them HTC Home and Daily Text (my program) and the ultimatelauncher

nope only had to do oce,. are you clickng ok in the bottom left corner of the screen once you try to activate so it saves the activation?

ok i wil add ths to the first post also... i found out how to get rid of the numbrs that appear on the top or bottom that ar quite annoying. what you do is chose your tab from the options and than once you do that click on change and than up top choose the tab named display and name it to what you want or make it blank and it will show asolutely nothing!!!

if anyone is having trouble making this visually appealing on the touch, it seems to be alittle different from the settings for the mogul for some reason, but i finally got it too look good :D!! since the HTC Home plugin was going a little off the right side of the screen i got rid of the 2 pixel margin set in the display settings...this will make it perfectly centered on your screen, also i made the header 1 pixel so it was not visibly there, however i can still click and hold to get to settings, it works really well plus gives you more room for everything else you may want!! hope this helps all the touch users out there!

you can always add it without the plugin so you can just open it and all from the launcher..... or you could go the third party app way and there is many good ones cracked here.

hey, i have this set up to rotate all my today plugins (htc home, ultimate search, espn, perastat, and prada plugin) so that basically the whole screen rotates at once. its real nice, i can fit all my programs on one or two pages, and if you wanted to you could change the icons to iphone ones, and you could make an iphone theme out of it. but my problems are
1. when i slide out the key board out and then put it back in the little scroll bar on the right side of the screen stays put and when i scroll down there is random dead space that wasnt there before. the only way to get rid of it seems to be to soft rest. i can get around it by only having my keyboard opened when a app is running.

2. ultimate search wont work. it will work if its not part of ultimate launch (meaning it doesnt rotate).

the slide is due to the amount of plugins that you have in the launcher and is confusing the phone.... i only have the htc homeplugin in my launcher....... and ultimate search i have no clue why it wouldnt work but prolly just one of them programs..... you could still have it on the homescreen below plugin you know.

look at the second video and it will show you how to get in there you have to click and hold on the plugin itself to get to the options they wouldnt be under the programs. you can also go to file explorer and than the app to find them like any other app that you install on your phone.

been discussed through this whole thread already please read through the thread before posting and you will find your answer. the scroll bar can be gotten rid of by taking some of the things off the home screen. and for getting up top ion the options looks at the second and third video in the first post and there is a video on mine and kaos setup so you can see how it is set up and just copy. it does include the apps under the options you have to do it manually. the plugin already active is becasue you have to deactivate the htc home plugin from start/settings/personal/today and uncheck it. please read through the posts in the future becasue it will save you time and us the stress of having to repeat ourselves over and over again on the same things. lol naw you dont have to open it through there. go to start/settings/today/the second tab on bottom/ and click off the homeplugin and check the ultimate launcher and you will be golden.

bro look through the tuts and this thread all been discussed.

1.uncheck the htchomeplugin as stated above and than check ultimate launch
2. you choose plugin when you want a plugin for that slide and you choose the apps for the apps you want on the other slides...... just like showed in the last 2 videos in the first post.

you have to reinstall thr plugin on your mogul after hard reset since it doesnt come stock.

your question was where did the clock and the plugin go after you did the hard reset. on the mogul the htc homeplugin doesnt come stock thats from the touch. so you have to reinstall and you can find that here: https://www.wckediden.com/showthread.php?t=143049&highlight=weather+fix%2A

he me and others have the quick menu one that comes with the application. it will work and shouldnt pop up because for the cube to open you go bottom to top an d for UL you just swipe side to side......... make sure you go straight across.

huh they must clash with each other on the mogul than.... i myself dont use the cube because i find it to be really redundant. so it is going to have to be one or the other.

Ok I have seen all the youtube videos available on the UL, my problem is whe I add a plugin and go back to main screen it locks of course and I do a soft reset, it the works until I go to the plugin screen and then it goes to the sync page and freezes. WHy the sync page I don't know what is going on.

please read through the thread been discussed...... you need to go to UL options and disactive the activesync from starting up automatically. if you guyz are looking for something specific in this thread look in the upper right and you will see a box for search this thread to keep it just in here.

not at all it takes up a small amount of ram so it isnt going to effect. and also how could it since its not continually spinning on the phone lol..... you only spin to get to one of the apps that you are trying to use.

OK I took the plunge. First time I have ever modded a phone. Did a bit of research so I wouldn't be that guy. It didn't work. Here's my problem.
1st. The cube does not scroll. I have watch both setup vids and my settings are correct under Ultimate Launcher
2nd. On the bottom of my home page I do have Perastats, but it one of many things there. So many that there is a scroll bar from and including Prada plug in on down?
3rd. (I might be able to figure this out) How do you change what icons are in each side of the cube?

bro you cant have the activesync to open like said in the thread already otherwise it will free you have to make sure that it is unchecked..... but to do a hard reset you have to hold the green and red call end and call execute buttons while soft resetting with the stylus... back up all your contacts though because you will lose them.

no there isnt why not just make it a speed dial or just click and hold one on the dial pad..... but this has nothing to do with ultimate launch, so if you want to discuss this further please make a new thread in the help desk.

I did D/\sh's ultimate launcher mod which I love. I have a few quirks though. It used to be that if I hit the power button to put in sleep mode, none of the other buttons would work. Now if I hit sleep mode by tapping the power button the screen goes black, but all the other buttons still work. Any thoughts?

I have made a few changes to my settings that get rid of a few of the annoying aspects of this plugin, They are as follows. Not sure if any of this has been posted, and since I am not asking a question didn't want to read the whole thread.

Completely get rid of the tabs:
In the main section under TAB select each tab and click change. In the tab menu under TAB remove the icon and the caption. Do this for every tab.
NEXT In the main setup under HEADERS change the Height to 0 Pixel. Change visable headers to 1. Make sure "show grid" is unchecked

Keeping UL from shrinking after reset or changing setting:
In the main setup under DISPLAY check the box "Fixed plugin-height" and change the pixel setting next to it to 160(For me this is the perfect height to fit HTC Home) Play with it till you get it the right size for your main plugin.

Make UL reset back to HTC Home and Open to it on a soft reset:
In the main setup go to TABS. Select the HTC Hom from your list of tabs and click change. In the tab setup under TAB click "open tab on startup" **NOTE**** THIS IS NOT THE "ACTIVATE PLUGIN ON STARTUP" THAT IS FOUND UNDER TODAY-PLUGIN Click OK to go back to the main setup. In the main setup under BEHAVIOR check the box "Return to start tab after" and set the box to 1 minute.

Hope this helps. These changes took the Launcher from pretty cool, to must have for me.

sounds like something on your phone that is wrong bro...... mine doesnt do that maby conflicting programs of summtin... have no clue why yours would do that. have you tried to uninstall and see if it still does that??? check that out and see what that does.

Should I uninstall everything and start fresh? Now that I have done it I don't think it would take too long. If I do this should I just do a hard reset? If I do a hard reset will it bring me back to the updated version or do I need to rom(?) it again. That was like 12 questions in one:merror:

So I just figured out something pretty hot. Maybe some of you already know this, but....

The scroll bar on the side in the screenies is just b/c I'm plugged in. Its not there normally.

Good way to full up your today screen if it feels naked, plut its just hot. If you only click the checkbox for your ultimate launch plugin for your today screen, then fill the launcher tab with HTC Home, you can also select more plugins within ultimate launcher for that same tab and move them up or down to your liking. Right now I have a quick dial strip with 5 contact pics courtesy of the dial tab today plugin that comes with swcked mobile shell 2.0. The key is to use the combine function within the UL launch settings under tabs. You can even combine plugins, apps, links, whatever. The possibilities are endless. I have a second UL tab (cube side) with Ultimate search, Live search, SBP's Today plugin, Prada, Pocket Sportscenter, Music plugin, and another side devoted to 15 quick dial contacts w/ pictures again from the dial tab plugin in the swcked mobile shell. It lets you have up to 3 of those swcked dialtabs on a UL tab (cube side). My whole screen now flips as a cube cause they're IN the UL. like the whole screen (almost) flips as a cube (if you cram it until you barely don't have a side scroll bar). It bugs at first until you get to your most filled cube side, then smooth sailing......on the touch anyways.

It looks pretty cool to have my contact pics on the home screen under the HTC Home, and spinning all in the cube.

bro please read the thread it has been asked and answered around 20 times... i know its long but is there for a reason. all you so is go to start/settings/personal/today/click the second tab on bottom and highlight ultimate lauch and than look to the middle right of the screen and keep clicking move up until you cant go up anymore than you will be fine. in the future please read the threads so the same questions are repeatedly asked. thanks

I have the ultimate launcher, and after approx. 10-15 minutes, on my tabs I get something in all four corners saying "not activated". I would refresh or re activate but eventually it comes back. Does anybody know why and how I can fix this? Thanks!!

Im trying to Get The Program, or .lnk, to which ever program changes the backlight level when you tap the icon.

I know it was a selectable icon in the HTC Home's Program list.

But now that i have UL, i have removed that tab on my HTC Home Slide of UL.

Ive tried adding the HTC Homeplugin to the slides that i have, though it sadly doesn't toggle the Backlight Level, it only brings me to the menu where i can change it on the Level Slider.

Hopefully, you can make out what im talking about... and perhaps even just point me to where i can find the link to whatever controls that function from the HTC Home Tab.

P.S. - The answer doesn't have to be form JUST D/\SH, if any of you fellaz know plz reply with any feedback.

I think everyone who's downloaded and installed this hasn't had the registration problem. If you haven't tried already, uninstall (as much as a pain it will be to re configure UL) and try again. No one else is having that problem.

If I had to guess, I think that function is hard coded into HTC home, and can't be mapped outside of it. I'm not the authority on it though.

yea, your most likely correct. I just figured since maybe you all know of so many different applications and lil utilities, u could tell me of one that i can use that Isolates this function.

Either way, i am far from upset lol. This is a very minor thing, seeing as i don't change my backlight levels THAT MUCH anyways.

The First:
Is a quick tour of what the program does and how D/\SH has made it look on his Mogul.

The Second:
Is a breif Setup Tutorial video, to show how to customize Ultimate Launcher, to show your HTC Home on the "Main" Slide by checking the "Open tab on startup" box under yout Tab Menu, after you've created a "Today Plugin" Tab.

So in short, simply watch the Videos & you will be fine. Also, play around with the UL Config some so that you can make it the way you want it.

I'm a noob and having some issues with the app. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but sounds like same problem as some others. For some reason I cant move the Ultimate Launch past HTC home. Any suggestions??

its all been talked about the htx home is auto locked on top.... all you do is add the plugin to the UL and than before you do that uncheck the home plugi nand you will be golden.... all already discussed.

I understand its been discuss, but was still looking for some advice. Your saying to Uncheck htc home, then go to UL and add the ghost tab for HTC home and then I should be able to move it to the top? Thats what I'm doing now with no luck. I tried to do a shoft restart, still nothing.

as discussed though already. all you have to do is uncheck the home than add it and than highlight UL and move to top and it will be on the top.

ok so you:
1. unchecked the htc home plugin
2. added the home plugin to UL
3. went to start/settings/personal/today/ than to second tab on bottom whjere you will than highlight ultimate launch and than click move up until you cant move it up anymore and than it will like beep at you....

Its killing me, thats exactly what I have been doing. I followed you video step by step. Went to start/settings/personal/today/items and unchecked HTC Home. Then I opened the UL app, added the ghost icon for the HTC home. Then I got back to start/settings/personal/today/items and try to move it to the top. Date is on top and HTC Home is next and UL is next and that is as far as I can move it.

make sure you dont use the date than thats the only other thing that could be on top of that.

Yeah not sure. I'll keep trying. Maybe need to remove then reinstall. While the HTC Home is unchecked, it still shows as active, even after a soft restart.

yeah you have to do that before you try the first time otherwise you will get he eror. i would try to reinstall and install again like you said.

Love the site, got some great info and downloads, but Im freekin lost here. its 2 am, ive been looking through the pages since 12:30 for exactly how to activate ulitmate launch, the one on pwalk.zip (dont know what version). Learned alot, but still cant get this to work. i tried using the video, and adding that code you mentioned in the video, but there is no name in the name section, and when dial in that code on your vid, i hit ok, it does nothing. i tried using opmon to give it a name, but nothing. it still stays blank, and it dosnt let you type anything in. i downloaded the new one on this page but it dosnt work on my touch. i thought mabey it was other apps running so i cleared the mem, and started over, and it still didnt like it. so im lost. I cant find how to activate the old one, and i cant use the new one, so im in need of help. I have a sprint touch if that helps. Any help would be much appreciated.

all you have to do to get he name is go to start/settings/personal/owners information and add your name... these are the same versions also.

I'd like to play with some different ROMs on my phone, but don't want to set this damn program up over and over to be the way I want it. I'd love it if there were some settings file that I could just copy into the Ultimate Launcher folder after I install the program. Does anyone know if such a file exists?

ummmn o since we all have different applications installed on outr phones. i dotn know how much easier it can be we have videos and all. heres how to delet and adds slidess on the UL.

DELETE:
1. highlight the item
2. clcik delete
3. click yes that you are sure
4. ( i do this for all the stock tabs since i like to start fresh on a clean slate)

ADD
1. Go to New and select plugin and choose htc home ( make sure that you uncheck htc home from start/settings/personal/today
2. than click ok on the bottom left.
3. than click new again and choose shortcut
4. add the apps that you want on that page by clicking add ( i usually dont go more tha 9 per a page)
5. when done adding all apps your DONE.|
6. if wanted you can add additional plugins but i dont choose to myself.


IF THIS DOESNT HELP YA I DONT KNOW WHAT WILL SINCE THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO DO IT.
