its still windows mobile 6.0 :( ... But the bright side is look at the free memory after install....so far i noticed seems snappier then previous stock roms....new radio....and a lot more memory...

ive been up all night and all morning waiting for this to be out on the link dash told me to keep checking up on and have not been able to get it so i can post it. i even had the thread ready so all i had to do was add link and submit it for everyone. even had rapidshare up and running ready so i can upload that also.

seems more stable...my phone has signal now before it even finishes booting all the way.....also no more test only boot screen.it did put my prl back to 6010...but that could be cause i relocked went to 2.17 to clean it out..then installed this....but in the help desk under ppc6800 i posted how to update your prl...its a sticky post....you don't have to call sprint this way to do it....you need your msl,mdn,msid....you can call sprint for it..or i posted a msl generator in this section..i believe its a sticky as well...follow that and you wont have to call sprint for nada....just how i like it...lol

were you runnig the 6.1 rom or another custom is so you have to relock your phone.

I don't have any problems with Live Search and GPS. it worked without any modification for me. I did have to be outside, and it did take a few minutes to find sat's the first time. I my settings menu, the GPS is set to intermediate driver, if that helps.

I will say mine works perfect except it doesn't work well with my dialer i use.(big Button dialer) my gps literally found first time with in like 2 seconds...I didn't even see the locating sat screen it was so fast....If i could get the wm6.1 cab for threaded sms on wm6.0 and big button dialer to look right..(voicemail key is messed) i would stick with this....And yes i know about vito sms..but i dont like i have to open programs to launch it...if it would launch from actual menu...it would work...Talked to no2chem...hopefully 53 will be better...leaving out the dialer..

Also Live seerch will Cache maps to your storage card. You can also turn on voice recognition and talk to it as opposed to typing. When you use the directions tab, click map, then click to center on GPS and it will give you turn by turn dierctions. It doesn't speak them, but it does start beeping to get your attention. I believe if you set up a route while in data coverage it will cache the whole route so that you can continue to have a map, even when in rural or non-data areas. Great program overall, especially considering its free. Grab it here from your mobile if you dont have it already. http://ls.windowsmobile.com

I NEED HELP! I just tried to download the new ROM and it took like 45 minutes just to download it to my computer or copy the files or whatever. Then I went to download it to my MOGUL and everything was good as far as connection and everything, but after like 2% of the download was done it said error and it said that it would walk me through it and fix it and I went through the steps it told me to and it said that it was fixed and tried to start the downlaod again and after letting it sit there for 10 minutes it did NOTHING. Now activesync doesn't recognioze the device and it is stuck on that colored screen. Does ANYONE have any advice? Thanks

Thats what I am saying, it doesn't establish a link with activesync at all. I dont have windows 6.1 on my phone. I never downloaded a custom rom either and no I have no clue what you are talking about locking it and unlocking it.............?

ok than dont worry bout locking. and listen carefully it will look as if it doesnt connect plug it in to the computer and the phone than let it sit for like 25 seconds than run the exe file and you will be golden for sure it wont show it connecting since you are in bootloader mode..... you will also see usb when you are connected successfully on the phones screen.

Wow.. That sucks... When you call are you getting an error that sais anything about your service? If so I would recommend calling sprint for an re-activation.

Well... It is a pain but you can call customer service start by pressing *2 or look on the listed posted here of all the sprint numbers. Its a sticky somewere. Just tell them you updated today and tell them your problem. May not be the best solution but yeah...

Check to see what your "My Phone Number"? says, i bet when you relocked the phone it lost you msid and mdn; mine did that last night and just used the msl to reprogram it

I had the same prob but I called customer service (time consuming I know) and got my code for the mogul you enter it on the dial pad. It brings you to a screen hit edit and type your number in the to sections. then ok it. BAM new Rom and GPS. Thanks guys.

yea you sholdve read the threads in regards to this. you will need you msl, mdn, and msid!!! Sprint is the only way you will get it now. try going to the keypad and type "##233252#". If you get in, click edit and enter you telephone number. if not, call sprint and they will help ya

Also, I re-installed Google Maps, and started the GPS... It shows working, but thinks that I'm in the ocean just south of the Ivory Coast/Ghana (when I press "My Location")... Is there anything I can do about that (GPS, along with more memory, are the two reasons why I did this)??

bro been discussed many times. it will show as not be connected just connect to your computer and than wait round 20 seconds and than run the exe for the rom and you will be fine. if you cant get it you can send to me for the mod service and i will fix it for you.

you shouldnt need your account number and all you just call tell them your name and the last 4 digits of your social security number.

naw the sprint features just wont work. you need to go to the right soft key and go get gps. than you will get it to work.

Ok so I've tested out the HTC Sprint ROM update and I've noticed a lot of issues that need to be addressed.

1. The notice says that it come equipped with REV.A, but it is disabled when you do the update. You have to get into EPST (##778#) and have your unlock code to access it. Once you access it, you have to enable REV.A. For people who aren't familiar with working behind the scenes with their phone, this update cheats you initially unless you make the change yourself.

2. The system crashes frequently when applications are loaded.(Google Maps, Touchflo Cube, Performance Tweaking, and Games) I've noticed that the device.exe and another program fails, and asks for you to report it. This failure often makes it so that you can't make phone calls or access other programs without a hard reset.

3. It moves faster in terms of maneuvering through programs, but at the cost of it failing on you. The update even started me out on Verizon's network instead of Sprint's. This may be an isolated issue, but I'm currently exploring ways to use the test beta software that comes with Windows 6.1.

If you have any suggestions for me I'd like to hear them.

Yeah I only ask because I'm currently still using the Beta Rom 3.16.651.0 (GPS & Rev. A) and while I was looking in the EPST settings under data parameters it doesn't have a Rev A option, the only thing in data parameters on the Rom I'm using is "Packet Dial String"

1. do you have service on your phone??? make a test call to see
2. if not call sprint and tell them that you would like to activate your phone and they will guide you through the process.
3. if you do you will also have to call sprint and tell them the problem that you are having since it is on there side and they can fix it....

i have a feeling though that you dont have service and will have to reactivate your phone.

we have them all posted and roms are personal interest but thanks for sharing with us on the rom and that you like it. you can receive your msl from spint by giving them a call.

sounds like you ran the unlocker on your phone. use the titan relocker and relock the phone so you are in bootloader 1.06 and than flash the rom.

what did you back up through if activesync go back to the area you chose called backup and click restore

hook it up listen for the sound it will still connect and than once you hear the connect sound run the relocker tool to get it to 1.06 and than once there run the exe straight from the rainbow boot screen and you will be golden... all been discussed before please try to search in the future.

its not if you follow the instructions....... you prolly didnt flash to the new official rom first so you have no radio. you need a radio for the phone to boot. so press and hold the camera button and the power button while resettign with the stylus to get into bootloader. than go here and flash to this radio. just download and flash the 3.35 radio. ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Radios

just take that file put it on the sd card after you format it to fat32.....put it in phone...then hold power button plus camera button...then soft reset while doing this...install the radio.(note this nbh is the radio). then it should work....if not report back..

What I did was take the 3.35 nbh and threw it in the titan relocker folder lol... Ran the relocker and on the tri color screen hit flash to 3.35... its flashing now..

no you have to have the radio on the phone to upgrade to the new 6.1. the safest way is to download and flash the official release and than upgrade to the 6.1 5055..... otherwise you have to flash the radio seperately in the link me and kaos both gave you above.

ok, so I upgraded successuflly (Thanks for the great directions) but now I have a question. With this new rom, should I just reinstall everything from my memory stick? Because I tried to use sprite backup to restore my files, but when I do so, it leaves me with no sound and when I make a phone call the phone doesn't ring or anything. I can send and receive messages and make outgoing and incoming calls, but it's as if my earpiece doesn't work after I use the sprite backup. you can not restore from a different rom..the out come is not good....You have to reinstall everything fresh.........

you have to add the port number to the firewall to add it, i forgot it was a while when that happened to me. I'm using my other computer when i get my lappy up i'll let you know which ones it was.

make sure the usb is in tight and vista will give you that issue sometimes. i would try to go to an xp machine..... or try to find the drivers online somewhere through google.... i just skip the hassle and go over to xp since i dua lboot my lappy.

no there wont be a test only. but yes this is the newest rom and pretty stable overall. i would recommend to actually go to WM 6.1 to tell you the truth. you will still have rev a and the gps features but comes stock with threaded sms and more stable and very snappy and quick. i would recommend the kaos **** sprint 420 take 2 rom.

I just installed the other rom update to see if that would work and it did. (the one with the 6.1 wind. )
