Disable XT9 for text messages

Ok, so besides download pocketcm keyboard, does anyone know how to diable the XT9 feature.

I've tried going to the registry
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\

Change the key "XT9SupportMSSip" from value "1" to "0"

Tried going to:
start menu->settings->input->touch keypad then options->xt9 settings

then uncheck all boxes in that page, still no luck. Tried calling sprint, but they don't seem to know either.

there isnt a wat to disbable and cant be dleted since it is built into the rom. but any aftermarket keyboard will overwrite this for you.
