No sound when recieve Text!

I dont know whats going on but whenever i receive a text no sound happens.
I checked my settings and my volume but cant seem to get it making a sound.
My ringtones work so im clueless

go to start/settings/personal/sound and notifications/ and than choose the sms from the drop down and than make sure the box is checked.
