Please follow these directions exactly and you will have no troubles.

1. run the hard spl unlocker to unlock the bootloader. (exe file)
2. extract the nbh file from the nue rom 2.0 zip
3. drag the nbh from the step above and place in the RUU folder
4. run the exe file in the ruu file and follow the steps.
5. enjoy WM 6.1 on your mogul

lolz that screen is the boot loader its alright guyz and no mandingo dcd's is a custom wm6.0 rev a rom not a 6.1 rom

hey tigerz, for all those having problems with the phone freezing up on the bootloader, and there phone is completely locked up, have them use this. It saved my life, and i thought my phone was done for. Just for clarification, this is for people who are stuck on the bootloader screen, and "soft resets" and "hard resets" don't help you. You do the reset and it brings you right back to the bootloader screen, frozen.
1. Connect phone to USB port, disable activesync and run the exe.

sweet rom.Also d/\sh.I installed from vista. :) . it can be done.you just have to set compatibility to xp and give it admin rights before running.Also on another note.those stuck inboot loader.you don't have to run all those extras steps.All i did was disable usb connect in device manager then run the titan boot loader exiter.then i re enabled usb and updated new rom.

this is made off a kitched converted from chinese to english. so basically this is the official chinese WM 6.1 but is still the beta for the sprint rev a area. runs great and very fast and smooth. and the threaded sms and the other changes are very nice.

well i cant tell which thread each one is from. just use the link in the first post that is rapidhsare. we have a plain WM6 rom update with rev a posted and the 6.1 with rev a. so just use the link in the first post.

no becasue it isnt hard to do..... if you unlocked the phone with the provided unlocker, dropped the nbh file in there and ran the exe that says rom update utility it should work no problems...many have done this..... make sure that you have the usb sync to being on..... also i experienced some problemson vista if your using that try to go to an xp machine.

try to reflash the rom on there maby it missed a part or summtin. never heard of this happening to anyone else. you used the mogul one not the touch one correct.

you will be fine plug it in and hold the camera button and the power button down at the same time while soft resetting and that will put you back into bootloader so you can reflash.

Ok guys your inluck i did this error by accident and now know why.After i unlocked i installed the rapid link wm6.1.here is where your issue lays.It is a bare rom.doesn't have new radio in it.its basically just a update to overlay the beta sprint 1.So when you phone boots up still has radio 1.47...so it freezes on htc screen..Scared the shit out of me..

heres what you do.....Hold down the cam button, and power button.as your doing this do a soft reset same time by sticking stylus in reset hole.it should go to boot screen red yellow white. you know the one...unplug usb then replug it in...now launch this rom first.

this is actual htc sprint beta has the right radios in it.it will go.resets at 11% so dont freak out it will restart and keep installing.after this is installed then you can install the bare rom

flash to the regular rev a rom than flash over to the WM 6.1 one so it updates the radio.

after the first reva gps sprint beta rom installs.let it start.it will say customizing in 3 press ok.let it install all the goodies...like the radios.after it finishes it will reboot.after it starts then..you can install the other rom..wm6.1

you have to reflash back to the 6.0 rev a rom than back to the 6.1 after that all installs.

i got the cab file..... bout to post it up here at the site in a second... in the original rev a rom the sprint customizations downloaded it....... so in like 3 minutes do a quicker search for sprint navigation

all the sprint stuff was customized on the 3.16 but when i updated to the wm 6.1 after that
i dont have any of that customization anymore
no sprint stuff just basic wm programs

the key files are in place now.stuff like nav are in the extended rom.do a quick search for it im sure dash has posted it.its a basic wm 6.1 all the goodies in the sprint beta you can add in....Just takes a little searching....I recommend quick menu as a must.

i have no problem connecting myself....... try pieplus if you are having a problem or a hard reset.... this just isnt your day is it lol..... i had mine done with installs in 1.5 hours

its not a rom. what is does is makes the external rom with all the sprint updates visible to see. you install go to program files than it will say unlock successful than soft reset again and you will see the external rom

as i said above go to program files and you will see it. doublew click on it and it will say successful. soft reset and than you will see external rom form the file explorer open this up and run the cabs that you need.

i ran the 3.16 and got the 3.16 firmware it customizes there ok.
they i opened the ruu folder and ran the update thing
then it brings me to wm 6.1 were i tap the screen again and all set the time
but it never customizes to sprint here

I can no longer do free push email on my Hotmail account without it.

the link i posted earlier in this thread isnt the external unlocker.It is the actual external all unlocked.Its a direct copy from my mogul.All the cabs are all ready inside the file.just put it on your phone.open it and run the cabs.there it is.Very simple.I had the unlocker just cant remember what i did with her. but you dont need it cause i already done did it for you all.:yahoo:

mine worked fine but do a quick search for pie* plus and use that browser and you should be fine.

I've actually done that before but "Windows Live" is not a Sprint customization, it's part of the base Windows Mobile 6 Pro/Standard installation and almost all carriers remove it.

I might just have to suck it up and do without it. But for now I'm still searching. If anyone comes across it or remembers a place with info on how to reinstall it.. please let me know.

I installed pie* plus, great looking program by the way, Still no luck. my browser still says "Error the requested Url could not be retrieved. Invalid URL" any other ideas? Could there be any other additional EPST settings needing adjustment?

call sprint what i had to do was install all the sprint external rom cabs and that helped (i had to do that for 6.0) when i installed 6.0 it worked fine but try calling sprint and asking them what to do (dont tell them you have 6.1 or they wont support you)

make sure your bootloader is in the correct mode. try to reunlock your phone and than reflash to a different rom. and if your stuck on the splash screen like that you prolly dont have a radio installed so find the 3.27 radio and install that and see if that fixes the problem for you.

It looked like everything was going fine... When flashing, The progress bar went all the way across.. But then after rebooting itself, the alltel sign comes up in the middle of the screen with a white background, and it's frozen there... It doesn't do anything, now... What do I do??

calm down and give us a chance to respond to you. hold the camera button and the powe button down while soft resetting and than you will go to bootloader mode and will be straigt to flash. the reason your at the alltel sign is because you need the radio 3.27 which can be found here by doing a quick search or loking under the other mogul rev a rom threads for the different versions.

I'm new to the PPC-6800. I just bought one and I want to upgrade it to WM 6.1 w/ Rev A. It's completely factory original.

Is there a write up or FAQ to do a step-by-step upgrade? The reason I ask is because I'm reading responses where people are instructing others to upgrade to "xxx" then do this and that etc. And I got confused as to whether that applied to me also or if it was specifically just for them. just connect the usb and dont pay attention to whether it says you are connected and not and flash the rom asthe directions say and you will be golden.

yea it will work on your phone. memory no it will not help but speeds yeah it will for sure the phone and the internet for that matter. you will have threaded sms faster speeds yaddi yaddi. ( dont wanna go hrough ll of it since it has been discussed already and no needto repeat since already in thread)

Hey dash, thanks for the help. I downloaded the winrar program and it worked wonders, I did all the recommended steps in your 1st post as you addressed and finally ran the ruu exe. Now when it downloaded and it finished my phone stayed on the black HTC screen and it didnt move, I hard reset and still nothing.
Then I went to another page on this thread and read kaos mentioned something about how we have to update the radio also, now I downloaded the file he suggested and when I opened it I tried to run the ruu within that file and it didnt work, so I took the file called 3.16.651.0.nbh and dragged it to the file you have on your first post ran the ruu exe with nuerom you told us to drag into the ruu folder and it worked great it updated all good and I got the new radio same as on the screen shots you have on the 1st post but the problem is it didnt update to WM6.1 and i dont have the threaded sms and the regular pie and I cant make calls but I could use sprints EVDO and have the task manager.
Note: I have the same device info that u have on your screenshot so what should I do now? I was thinking about running the ruu again just without the 3.16.651 file to update to the new radio and running the ruu exe again will this do? if you not unsure of what im talking about is their a way maybe I can call you or IM you to help me on hand. I have 2 days without my fone and thankgod my brother is letting me use his for my job.

yeah that is normal and the new radio is fine obro but yes you can just relock your phone with the relocker tool and reflash by using the stock roms exe file that you can find on htc.com. the speritn boot screen wont mess anything up though.

you should be straight.... the first time takers a while to connect than after that you should be golden. try going out side for like 10 minutes when your in the car or summtion and than let it sit and you should be golden.

ok I got it 2 work buddy, I stood outside for about 10 minutes and I used this program called gps viewer it was supposedly to get the gps started or primed on the fone. after it picked up all the satellites I got I launched google maps on and it got a lock,after I launched sprint nav and it picked it up also, I read up that here in NYC we have really good coverage probably one of the best, thanks dash for making it possible....Now I can drive to illinois and see my uncle graduate from the navy in 2 weeks .

sprite backup bu the only problem is you have t rinstall every time because since it is a new rom the registry is changed so you have to install the apps all over again.....

the bars dotn meansquat. satelitte runs off the satellites in the sky not off the towes. so you just have to be able to make a connection with the satelites in the sky.

if we knew the date we would tell you.Sprint is holding it up according to htc..So hopefully anytime from today to the next month.Also there are other alternatives to tom tom. such as garmen.they have reported success...I myself use sprint nav.Haven't a single issue.

bro there is none. we went through everything with you that we could already. since your in new york you might be aving problems with the tallbuilding blocing the satllite which has been known to happening...... try to run summtin in the background since it might just be running funky on you.

my hard dive blew bro and cant install stuf on the computer. but if your stuck at the htc screen as discussed before all you have to do is flash the 3.27 rom and you will be golden.

thats the rom and you said you are stuck at the htc boot screen which means there is no radio installed. so follow the directions.

1. download the 3.27 radio
2. flash the radio to your phone
3. than you will be golden......
4. the reason its saying that you arent connecte is because you are froze and not on the main screen or bootloader. manually place in bootloader py pressing and holding the camera, start, and soft reset hole at the same time..... in bootloader wont read as connected but will be.... if the rom is on there and htc screen is froe it is the radio guarnteed. and also if you want you can take advantag of the service and have me mod the phone out for you

yeah that was one of the known things that might happen sowe told you to write down the numer. but sprint cusomer sevice is still open just call and it takes like 5 miutes max. tell them that you want to activate your phone and its quick and painless.

if she wont give you your msl...get tough tell then you want retentions your going to cancel your account then...then watch how they change....with out your msl your screwed.....you can try iota provisioning....which is start>personal>phone>internet. As far as connection issues..I have been running wm 6.1 since build 25 all the way up to current build....Never had that issue cause i have my msl....you have to check some settings if your having a connection problem.30 minutes on the phone is nothing...Myself and others here can tell you we have spent hrs to get what we want on the phone with sprint.

that is why you need your msl...msl is the lock code for your phone to be able to get in and change your mdn & msid.. As well as your user email. Without your msl your screwed.

im gonna have to sy to do a hard reset. after every flash it is a good idea to do a hard reset. tigerz hadthis problem and had to do the same thing..... talking to him right now and he thoks thts the only fix.

naw i ran the dcd and we have it posted here from xda where dcd resigns but there is major encryption issues that casues the phone to freeze and he isnt udating because he is doing a kitchen for the roms..... your choice but i tried gong that route and is horrible n deven he sayd in the post over at xda that he wouldnt rcommend going with this rom.

Dash, if his problem is getting his phone to get evdo then he has to go to file explorer/extended rom/and run the iota cab in there and install it in device. It worked for me because i had the same problem.

yes it wil downgrade your radio but youhave to relock your phone... and for the rev a roms you need the 3.27 radio. and for the downloads part im running the 6.1 rev a rom and downloaded without any problems.

I installed the Latest HTC ROM release 2.17.651.0 and it resolved all my download problems immediately. But then the stupid phone wouldn't power the screen back on once the backlight went out. I'm not too worried about that problem, I'd rather deal with download issues, So I went back the the WM6.1 Rev A /GPS ROM.

This download problem with my Mogul and WM6.1 w/Rev A and GPS is the last problem I have to fix. I thought it might be a problem with EVDO/Sprint Provisioning, but I did run the IOTA in the extended ROM and it didnt seem to do anything. I verified that my network configuration is the same as the working HTC ROM. I just can't figure this one out. Well it is a test ROM anyway, I might just have to live with it for a few more weeks.

It will be just my luck as soon as I fix it HTC/Sprint will probably release an official ROM.

you can change the sounds by going to start/settings/personal.sounds and notifications/ and than change it.

when they say disconnect ur device they mean by un pluging the usb or whatand my activesync is desconnected does it need to be connected still.

look at my signature and as discussed before all you have to do is plug it in and make sure the phone says usb and than you can flash over it just doesnt read through activesync on your computer but still transfers.

that because you didnt flash to the right radio first. you have to install the 3.35 radio and than flash over to the 6.1 custom rom of your choice. so now you are going to have to manually place your phone in bootloader and than once you do that by pressing and holding the power and camera buttons and soft resettign just flash the 3.35 radio that you can find by doing a search on the site.

yes but there are newer versions out search for nuerom and than you want build 5060. also to learn how to do it look at my signature. you will need to flash the stock 3.35 sprint rom than WM 6.1

when you went back to the 6.0 sprint rom did you remember to relock your device? if not that would be causing the problem.

Im not sure I follow what your saying. I wasnt able to get 6.1 on the device. I got the boot screen up and thats as far as i got. so then i did a little searching and found a solution on ppcgeeks I had to download a file called Vista RUU or somthing like that then ran the .exe file and it put it back to 6.0 thats all i did so no i probly didnt relock the device. how would i go about that..

yup you will want titan relocking tool and thats only if you flash back to the 2.17 rom not the 3.35 gps rom.

yes 3.35 is sprints stock rom which enables the gps and rev a, and it isnt hard at all. being that you ran the unlocker you have to run the relocker, just look on dashs sig where it says need to know how to flash and it will tell you how to in baby language

I am running WM 6.1 For Mogul With Rev A my question is inregards to text msging. seems like now that the text are threaded (which is great) I cant FWD msgs that have been sent to me the only option that is highlighted is reply. is there a work around for that ?

Then, i tried to unlock the phone. However in the unlocking process halted after a while when the red, green and blue screen was displayed. I thought it was part of the process and so I took out the battery. When I put the battery back in the screen and started it again, it got stuck again at the screen with the bootloader.
At this juncture i decided to install the wm 6.1 rom. I extracted the RUU folder and the WB6.1 folder and copied the .nbh file into the RUU folder. Then I run the setup file. The rom was successfully installed. During the installation, I realized that the bootloader version was 1.2 or so and had Olipro as displayed and so I figured that the unlocking was successful. I also took the battery out and did a hard reset before the rom finished booting.
However after the rom booted i realized that it was slow and that the camera and other functions weren't working properly although I could make calls. I did a hard reset but it did not fix the problem.
Finally i decided to flash back the stock rom. I tried
to relock the system but the RUU program would always quit in the middle of the relocking process whiles the red, green and blue screen was displayed.
Fed up, i decided to go ahed and flash the stock rom back on. During this process, I realized that the boot loader seemed to be the Olipro version but the installation proceeded smoothly.
Right now my dilemma is that I would like to relock my system but don't know how to proceed. Also, assuming I wanted to use a custom rom, could you inform me of the correct procedure? I have read a whole lot of threads but can't find any solution. I would really be grateful and appreciative of your assistance. Thank you all very much for all your hard work.

1. the locking process will look like the phone disconnects from activesync but as long as it still says usb on the rainbow bootloader screen you are connected. just be sure to follow the steps and not disconnect because if you do that during a rom update you risk bricking your phone.....
2. the same in number one goes for when you relock your phone.....
3. im thinking the reason for the camera and other things not working was cause your phone wasnt correctly unlocked before you flashed the phone meaning a bad flash. so unlock your phone the correct way and the screen wil come up looking like a rom update screen and follow the steps and make sure it says successful than flash back to the WM 6.1 rom. and be sure not to flash this rom since this is beta go after a great rom like the kaos **** sprint 420 take 2 rom andfollow the steps and flash to that.....
4. i hope this explains the provess better to you and you understand what yo uwere doing wrong.
5. and if you still cant get it i do offer a modding service for 60 bucks that would consist of me flashing your phone to the newest and best WM 6.1 rec a gps rom and also putting all the apps on the phone from my sprint mogul for sale on ebay video on youtube. the phones are shipped out modded the day after i receive them.
6. once agian hope this helps and if it does be sure to hit the thnaks and tell us how it goes for ya.

if you updated the rom you wouldnt be in bootloader you prolly just unlocked now go to the next step in my sig (link for flashing and do it) hint the rom you want to flash. if you cant get these simple steps i would recommend not doing it yourself because you can brick the phone.... im not trying to sound like a dick just dont want you to ruine and make your phone useless.

then i get nuerom v2.0 build5023.rar ruu.rar so i ran hard spl followed directions and updated phone rom what do i do after that?

what???? dash I believe you should close this thread being this rom is old and can damage peoples phone. and maybe delete those 2 youtube videos you have of the old beta rom b.c people are coming here searching for that....and alof of them dont know about sprints 3.35 radio.

ok it means that you are stuck on the bootloader, no search for kaos **** sprint 420 take rom and flash to that. just download the rapidshare file and open it and then double click the file that says romupdateutility.exe and let it finish. when the phone boots up take battery out for a minute,turn on and then hard reset and you will be golden.

you have to install do a search bro hint hint search for weather fix and download and install those two cabs in that thread.

OK PEOPLE I AM CLOSING THIS THREAD DOWN FOR A FEW REASONS:
1. THIS ROM IS THE OLD AND LEAKED RADIO FROM THE BETA THAT ACTIVATED SPRINTS GPS AND REV A ON THE MOGUL.
2. BEING THAT ITS OLD PEOPLE WERE FLASHING TO THIS ROM AFTER THEY HAD SPRINTS 3.35 ROM AND IT WILL CAUSE YOUR PHONE TO MALFUNCTION IMPROPERLY AND WE DONT NEED THE STRESS FOR OLD ISSUES OR CAUSES
3. IF YOU WANT A ROM FOR YOUR MOGUL THEN DOWNLOAD KAOS'S ROM ITS THE BEST SO FAR, IF YOU DONT LIKE IT SEARCH FOR SOMETHING ELSE.
