How To Make Themes Like Me D/\SH And My Boy Tigerz

1. To start you will need to download ThemeGenCE you can find it here: http://www.freewareppc.com/misc/themegence.shtml
2. Once you do that install the theme generator to your computer and yes this is WM6 and Vista Compatible.
3. Get your images from your favorite search engine or your own collection that you want to use. You will want a picture for portrait, landscape, and possibly one for the drop down menu.
4. Once your pictures are chosen open up ThemeGenCE and it will come up with a pop-up that says adapt theme if needed. Go to the options area next to the box that says theme format. Than choose the one that says QVGA P+L (240X294) (320X214) than click validate.
5. Than go to the mona lisa picture on the top navigation bar of the screen and click on it. Choose your picture this one will be for landscape. And once you got it measured up the way that you want it click the image that looks like a disc sticking out of the drive. (three from the right) and that will save the image.
6. Once done with that click on where it says start. That will be for the start menu and you can either use the same picture or choose a custom one by clicking on the camera to the far left of the navigation bar.
7. Than click on where it says landscape and follow the same steps for the landscape mode of the theme.
8. Once you have it the way that you want go to the main page again by clicking on the red button and than click on the icon that looks like a rubrics cube and change the colors to the way that you want them to be. (also to the left of the preview image click WM6 and the buttons below will be how you can view what it looks like.)
9. WARNING WM6 BARS APPEAR DIFFERENT THAN THEY LOOK SO GO TO THE VIEWS AND MAKE SURE THE BARS LOOK RIGHT BEFORE SAVING AND GETTING FRUSTERATED. FYI THE DARKER THE COLOR YOU CHOOSE THE LIGHTER THEY APPEAR FOR WM6 AND THE LIGHTER THE DARKER THEY LOOK WITH WM6.
10. Once you set all the colors to the way that you want them to be all you have to do is click the icon to the left of the mona lisa to save it as a tsk file.
11. Your DONE.
12. THEN TO HELP US OUT AT Wckediden POST YOUR CUSTOM THEME UP FOR ALL TO DOWNLOAD!!!

just dink around if it cuts out a part than make a little taller until you get it right.

alright very easy to do. all you do is go to the side menu on your left and than go to mobile themes. than choose ppc themes. than once you do that just go below submit thread button and attach the .tsk file and the images and you will be done...

you need to add pictures first and all and get it set up with all the images than it will appear.

i answered your question above for the first one and no you cant make icons through this it is only for the themes.

all you have to do is make the new thread under the ppcthemes area and than under where you submit thread you attach the pictures and the theme and you will be golden.... also make sure you save the pictures as jpg or jpeg.

you have to uncheck the box that says preserve aspect ratio

animated images arent supported on this. there is a maker called flash themes generator but trust me at this time you dont want to go that route can cause a lot of freezing and they also stop working all the time. (by freezing i mean that if you dont notice right away you wont receive calls or anything until you do a soft reset. i tried these out on multiple phones also.)

Go to the side menu on the left of the screen, select Mobile Themes, link to Pocket PC Themes, and start a new thread for your theme. Post screenshots if you'd be so kind, and the .tsk file... Thanks for sharing with us bro...

this has nothing to do with the clock, only for themes which are the backgrounds and the bars

just put it anywhere, then you find it using file explorer and double-click on it to get to today settings...although it is recommended to make a file named themes so tey ain'l floating around on your phone everywhere

okay i guarantee that this works...go transfer it to your phne via activesync, then you find it on file explorer on your phone, one you have found it, double-click and it will take you to the today settings automatically with the .tsk file you selected available as a theme

what do you mean? if you dont want it to change for landscape than in the options where you choose theme type do the same thing but just P not P+L

first of all you need to join the mini-uploader (not sure exactly what it's called) group and then give dash, wcked, or kaos time to approve you then you need to go the the theme area, press the new thread button

when posting:
1. provide a preview of the theme that has been uploaded to photobucket or another picutre uploading site (wrap in and tags)
2. please provide a rapidshare link in case of the attachment being lost
3. attach the .tsk file

ok i messed with this for 15 hours and now im breaking down and asking for help...ok the i got every thing looking sweet in the program the preview is the way i like it but when i save it to the pc and transfer it to my htc touch it dont look like the preview in the theme program meaning like the word start is sopossed to be red but when install on the phone its white. why is it doing this when i had it set to red in the theme maker program.like when u click on say a program in the programs folder the black txt turns red when highlighted or selected but for the start menu the text is white it dont want to accept the red i chose like i want the black text in the start menu drop down and when highlighted i want it to turn red and i want the word start to be red all the time it looks like this on the preview in the theme manger program but not on the phone only certian parts work the way i want it to but just the word start and the start drop down menu aint working like i want it to so any help will be greatly appericated.if u have a hard time understanding bout what i mean ill post screen shots up if i can find a way to capture a screen with the start menu open.if i can get this issue fixed im going to post it up on here.

make sure you have wm6 selected when you view it...... you hasve to change the settings on the far right..... even afdter you install the colors will be a little off for the bars and suck so you just have to get used to that and make accordingly and tweak a little bit....

wm 6 was checked. the top and bottom bars are fine. its just the text on the start menu dont wanna set to the colors i chose the preview will be in the colors i chose just not on the phone. and i played with almost every aspect of the program and it wont work.

well it really depend on the the UI (user interface) you are using on your device.. ie win mo 6.5 default today screen... theres a tutorial for skinning that you have to search for...

If however you are wanting to theme tf3d, then that is a complicated 30+ project... there currently isnt a tutorial on how to do so. But recenly an manilla editor was released thatll help u in the process... if u can find it, and figure it out, that would be a good place to start...:viannen_07:

you can put it anywhere you want, then go on your phone, open file explorer, find the file, double-tap and you should be good from there.

yuppers or you can place the tsk files under start/file explorer/ program files/ my documents templates. or you can place them loose on your storage card meaning not in a folder.

are you using 6.1 or 6.5 cause this wont work correclty with those.

Well i have 6.1 for now but im trying to upload to 6.5. So yeah i dont know what could be wrong, the backgroung pictures just wont show. Ill keep trying to find out whats wrong with this.
Another thing if you could help us with is by maybe telling us how to change the icons (ex. Home, people, mail) on the bottom. Thats would be awsome, that could maybe take some load off ur back so we can help u guys make bad a** themes for everybody. Thankx d/\sh.

while we appreciate your enthusiasm and eagerness to help and contribute... the first step would be to really browse the boards and do some serious reading. 1st thing... as Dash stated in the post previous to yours... this tut is not made for 6.1 or 6.5... its made for 6.0 themes, that is your problem nothing else... ur using the wrong tools if your really interested in themeing for 6.1 or 6.5 and it matters if you skinning/theme htc home, tf3d or windows default (which is the C Home UI on wm 6.5) all are different.... also to skin the icons you were referring to, youll have to start searchin for how to edit manilla files... as themeing tf3d and manilla is a 30+ hr process there really are no tutoriials for it... there are certain tools like the manilla editor which u can find here w/ a simple search but the only way to learn at the moment is through trial and error
