Hi,

I'm a newbie here. Just wanna know your opinion of Asian version of Touch with doubled memory (256Mb ROM, 128Mb DDR RAM) using the TI OMAP850 processor. I got to know about the Sprint version (with 400Mhz processor!) here so I just want opinions on OMAP processor version as well.....

Thanks for help!

well basically the same as the spritn version that i own. double the memory but what the spritn version gave is prolly enough for most people so the memory thing isnt going to be that big of a deal. the processor is a very nice one but ut is needed for the extra memory that the phone has and compares very closely in speed to springts 400mhz. any other questions feel free to ask or if you want it more in depth i can also do that just at work right now checking in so i thought that i would reply

Hi Dash,

Thanks for the reply!
What do you think of TI OMAP850 compared to Qualcomm 400Mhz??
If I'm not mistaken, Sprint is equipped with Qualcomm, right? And there is GPS built in for Sprint?

Btw, this is a great forum site for HTC Touch lovers!

as i said in the forst post it is very comparible with the 400mhz that the sprint has. the extra memory on the newer version of the touch needs a faster processor to run it adequately. so it is very comparible in speed to the sprint processor overall.
