I was wondering if anyone knows what port the GPS runs under for the HTC TOUCH
if you go under settings/system/External GPS
THere is an option for program ports for GPS
and an option for hardware ports for the GPS
I'm trying to run GOOGLE maps software which has GPS, i was wondering if i tamper with these settings will the google GPS work?
www.google.ca/gmm is the link for the GPS software for GPS
I know the HTC touch does have GPS, did some research through the internet and user manual and I BELIEVE my service provider blocks it
anyway to enable GPS?

external GPS will only work with an external GPS like a bluetooth gps receiver or wired gps receiver. What version of the touch do you have? The overseas touch, telus, or the sprint touch? Cause this determines a lot about your internal GPS...I will post later on how to use an external GPS receiver, i've been meaning too, but as for internal GPS if you have the overseas touch or telus you supposedly have wifi, as for the sprint touch there is NO wifi or gps built in until Rev A come out :) then you gain gps but not wifi.
